It was a smooth and easy experience.  They came and did the work and put down a chemical that kept the moss from building up on the roof... it is the first time in years that someone adequately cleaned the downspouts so I didn't have an overflow on my front gutter.

Well, they arrived as expected, and started to work. The roof was cleaned by using shovels and scraping off the moss, which worried me a little about the gritt on the roof tiles being removed by all the scaping that was done. They then cleaned the gutters. When they were done, they left. After they left, I noticed that I could still be moss spots on the roof of the garage that they missed. I need to mention that almost six months later I received a call from Homemasters, asking me if the men had told me I needed a new roof.  I said no.  He told me that I did, and asked me if I wanted them to come out and do an estimate. I replied no. First of all, I had a complete new roof put on  fourteen years ago, and it is guaranteed for 30 years.  This sounded very funny to me, and felt like they were just looking for business.

This company was quick to return my call to set up an appointment to receive services.  They arrived on the date and time scheduled.  I was not present at the time of the service but inspected the work when I returned.  As near as I could tell the gutters were cleaned of all leaf and debris on both levels of my home.  I live in a 2-story home that has a pretty high roof line on the second floor and a very small lot to access the roof.  There is a huge tree next door that literally fill up my gutters with leaves and debris every fall.  This provided did an excellent job of cleaning all of the gutters.  I would certainly invite them back again next fall.

Within a few days of me purchasing the deal on Angie's List, I had a message on my home answering machine saying they'd be out on X date next week to treat the roof.  It was the easies thing I've done for home maintenance.  I didn't even have to be home!  They treated the roof and left me some information on it.  As their information claimed, the moss came off gradually over the next few weeks and it's been over a year since it was treated and there's still no moss!  It was a great experience and I will contact them again when the moss comes back (2-3 yrs they indicated).

I wish I asked more questions before work started. I think a pressure wash and zinc coating would help more than a blow. I got a quote to complete the job later.

They were incredibly professional and efficient, from the scheduling through the follow-up. They had an efficient scheduling system and I was able to get an appointment a few weeks after I called. They did end up running a little late, but they kept me apprised of where they were. The actual service was excellent and they cleaned the debris up, which was really important to me. Finally, they followed up with a phone call and a mailing, which we really appreciated as well. Overall, an outstanding experience.

The work turned out fine.
