Write a ReviewI was impressed initially by Greg Bray who gave us an estimate on cleaning - an Angie's List coupon - plus replacing the drains and adding new screening to the gutters. He climbed up on the roof, took a stick, and cleared two of the drains on the spot although this was not his job. I appreciated his initiative. But...on Tuesday, 10.1, Greg told me that he could get the work done by the end of the week or by Friday, 10.5 and when the scheduler called, they made the date October 8th. We were going to be out of the country that day for two weeks, but I agreed. Within 24 hours, another scheduler called and told me that they had to move the date out to November, 17th. I was very unhappy with that as I made it clear to Greg that I thought (based on his observations) that our gutter and drain issues were critical and needed attention ASAP. The second scheduler called back and made the date at noon on October 9th. I asked that they take a photo of the work as there was a good chance that we would not be home at noon that day. The second scheduler said that he would note that; they never took any photos. However, I did get a door tag saying that the work was done and when I checked it, it was indeed done. Then, I called Greg on October 22nd to get some references for the $2300 screening estimate that he initially gave me and have yet to hear from him. I don't think I will work with them again: My impression was that the Angie's List coupon (for which I had to pay 50% on ordering and 50% on completion) was a deal that Homemasters was not that happy about and so the scheduler was "playing with me" on the completion date. It felt like a "bait and switch" situation and left a bad taste in my mouth.

i wasn't home at the time, so I can't say much about the work done except that the gutters are now clear. Â The thing I really did appreciate was the great service on the phone and the way they fit me in, despite a full schedule, because my basement was flooding and my need was dire!

It went fine. I thought the workers were very good & did a good job. There were only 2 things that bothered me; (1) the salesman was more than happy to offer services that the workers didn't know he had promised. But I had windex & paper towels,so they cleaned the skylights like the salesman said they would. (2) They charged me a small amount for something I felt they didn't do. Customer service adjusted the charge and said she would check on some things and call me back. The things she was checking on mattered more to her than me, but she never called back, the charge was adjusted.  But the work got done & I was happy with that, so I might even hire them again. The workers were very good & responsive to my request.Â

When I scheduled the appointment they were able to fit me in within a week of my call. They arrived on time. I thought they did a good job at cleaning off the roof. I will have to wait to see how the mold preventer works, they said it would take time and at this point there is still green mold on the roof.

Came on time and swept my roof and cleaned all my gutters and unplugged all the downspouts. Did an excellent job in a very timely manner, and I'm planning on using them again this year.

I had called Home Masters a while ago to talk to them about scheduling my gutter cleaning until late October or early November, as I have trees that hang over the gutters on both sides of my home, and wanted the leaves all gone from the trees before I had them come out. The other issue was that I needed to have these trees trimmed away from my roof because some of the branches were  actually lying on my roof on both sides. The lady I talked to told me that someone would be calling me within two days to get me into the schedule. I never got the call, and I got pretty busy so did not stay on top of it. Then one evening I came home late after meeting friends for dinner after work, and my son told me that someone had been out to clean my gutters. I had received no call that this would be happening that day, and I still had not had the branches trimmed back away from my roof. So I called Home Masters the next day, and talked to Jerry about what had happened, and he admitted that they "dropped the ball", and told me that after I have the trees trimmed, they will come back out and re-clean the gutters to make sure no more leaves have dropped into them. So, although there was a drop in the communication, Jerry was very willing to make things right. They did a good job and didn't leave a mess, and they did apply the moss treatment on the roof. So the only reason I'm giving them a B is because their communication regarding scheduling could've been better. They did a good job and I believe they are a good company and worthy of being on Angie's List.Â

I used them and they were good. I purchased the big deal during the Summer. It was for three hours of handymen service. He was good. I had a project that he worked on. It was not his expertise. He was fine. It was good experience.
