I bought the service 10-25-2013, they keep putting off the service with no actual commit date. |Finally, last week they committed to 12/27/13 - ridiculous!  I called yesterday, told them to cancel the service, totally fed-up.  They then offered to do the service for $75.00 initiation truck fee, plus $49/half-hour, and credit back the original $119.00 fee I paid Angies.  I agreed to this.  So net-net, they showed up today when more money was put on the table....

They were great and did a good job.

First, the nice people at the store guaranteed me that they would honor my Angie's List coupon.  Then they booked the appointment for costing the job.  They sent Greg Bray, a knowledgeable and experienced guy.  He was very friendly and on time every time he came or called.  He kept track of our job along with Steve in the job booking dept.  He also sent us a computer file showing our job from a space mapping service.  Everyone at Homemasters made sure all our questions were always answered.  I must say it again, Homemasters are the nicest people, they treat their customers like gold. Our pricing along with our Angie's List coupon made this top of the line 50 year roof with fancy shingles the same price range as a regular flat shingle roof.  We took 3 bids from local contractors and hands down, Homemasters offered the best roof at the best price. What we got:  Top of the line Certainteed Luxury Shake shingles, with a content of zinc and copper in the shingle itself, a must for Northwest Winters because it keeps moss off the roof.  These were installed on top of a 3 layer vapor proof sophisticated underlay system.  We had all the old vents removed and had a top vent cut across the gable.  We had the chimney to the old fireplace (which we removed) taken down; now the flashing won't leak ever again because it's gone.  They installed very high quality metal gutter flashing in the valleys (we have a complicated roof with 4 peaks).  The job also included our 2 car garage sized shop next to our house.  Same roof, same quality, and the new vent is wonderful. Our roof is a very high very steep, and we are on a hill.  This job was much harder than the usual job because our landscaping made it impossible to get the large truck that puts the shingles on the roof into the yard.  The men had to carry shingles on their backs up the ladders instead.  Also the very steep-ness of our roof meant it took more material to cover it.  Lots of safety equipment was used too. The crew that did the job worked from sun up to sun down breaking only for lunch; which they took tailgate style on the back of their truck.  They cleaned the entire yard of debris, leaving no trace behind.  With all the fancy shrubs around our house, they never broke a stem.  They were kind and polite and we enjoyed their company while they were here. A week after the job was done, Greg Bray returned to our house to inspect the job.  He took a good photo of our house to share with us and he left us our Certificate from Certainteed for 50 year guarantee.  He encouraged our each and every question and said to call if there was anything ever he could do to back up this job. We are so pleased with Homemasters and with Angie's List that we are planning to paint our house and put up new gutters with these same people next summer.  I waited for a couple of rainy days to report the difference to you, the reader.  Our roof is so silent now we can't hear the rain.  Even upstairs is silent.  Our heaters don't kick on because we aren't losing heat out the roof anymore.  Cost savings.  We are very pleased and we rate both Angie's List and Homemasters at 100 Percent.  We WILL do business again.

Cleaned my gutters & blew away all the debris from it. Also removed moss from my roof, but it wasn't included, so I agreed to pay an extra $50. Overall, excellent work, but a little pricey even with Angie's List deal.

It went very well.  The gentleman who came out to quote the work took a careful look at the counter top and new sink and told me it was just nailed to the cabinet.  This was in direct opposition to what a previous handyman had said (the original handy man said the top was epoxied to the cabinet.).  Since this company had a special "Handyman for a day" coupon, I purchased that, which saved me about $30.  The only issue I had was after I purchased the coupon I expected to get a call from Homemasters and I did not get one.  After a week, I called and had to repeat my situation to 3 different people before I got the information that someone would call me.  To their credit, I received 2 calls from them soon afterwards, one to tell me the scheduler would call me and the second was the scheduler.  We set up an appointment time and the handyman and his helper arrived about 30 minutes early, and went right to work.  They were able to finish the job by noon. I was very happy with the results, and plan to use Homemasters again the next time I need help of this nature.  I will attach pictures.

We hired this company to clean our gutters on Angie's Big Deal. They performed the basic service but we did not feel they went above and beyond. Scheduling was also rather a hassle. Overall fine, but not amazing.
