Write a ReviewWhen they arrived, they came with two men. They explained that they would work for one and a half hours between the two of them. They explained that if I wanted to pay extra, they would finish the work I had wanted done. They did a good job, but I was disappointed with the deal.

They showed up late but got to work blowing off the roof and I don't know what else. Hammering in various areas of the roof. After they finished they said everything was fine that they had to tighten up a few areas (I know we have problems in the back two corners)and that was it. Â When it finally rained there were leaks from the gutters over the front door and garage (that were not there before). So I called to have they could come out and repair those areas. I set up an appointment and a half hour before they were to come and give me an estimate I received a call to say they would be unable to make the appointment. We set up an appointment for that Thursday but they never called or came. I am disappointed since they got such a good score from the list. Now I have to find someone to correct what they broke.
We would like to send a crew out to seal up the leaks in the member's gutters. I am calling today, 12/02/13 to schedule that appointment.
Salesman showed up at 12 noon for a 2 pm appointment set by the office. Called and said he was going to be late for the appointment to sign the contract. Was never asked where dumpster should be located. Dropped in front of my garage door, which wasn't supposed to be blocked. The roof was supposed to be started on Thursday. Starting consisted of showing up to drop off a ladder and some wood planks along the side of my house. No work was done. Called the office to find out what was going on, as I was promised the job would be completed Saturday. The office told me the work was started, but I couldn't see what they had done, since it was high on the top of the roof. I thought that was interesting, as the dumpster was still empty. Roof was not put on within promised time. Worked Saturday and Sunday starting at 7 am. Neighbors complained to me. Salesman (Greg) stated he would be on the job the first day. Never showed up or heard from, once contract was signed. Job was rushed...had to come back and cut metal off the sides that was hanging off the eves. Sloppy clean up. There were shingles all over the back yard, in the bushes along the side of the house and the front of the house. Nails and staples were also everywhere. Looks like a brand new box of nails were spilled in my ceder chips. Good thing my dogs weren't home at the time! When the gutters were installed, they showed up a different day than was scheduled. Once again, a complete mess was left behind for me to clean up. They were extremely careless when they removed the gutters. The end result was a dishonest crew trying to cover up their damage. The downspout on my front porch was torn out, causing the aggregate to break apart. When they were done installing the new downspout, they carefully placed all of the pieces they broke back into place, hoping the damage would go un-noticed. When I called the office, I was told there was no report of any damage. I took pictures and emailed them. I was told someone would come out and fix the roof, install my attic fan and repair the aggregate. I have an uneven blob of some sort of gray silicone substance on my front porch. It stands out worse than when the put the pieces back into place. I also have gutters that hold dirt and water very well. They are not angled, so they drain the water. I was also informed, by the salesman (Greg) I would receive a free VIP cleaning service (roof and gutters in one year). I feel like I was crammed in and certainly didn't get what I was originally sold. I have been threatened to be sent to collections, since I haven't paid the other half of the balance due. I paid half upon signing the contract, but haven't paid the balance, as the work has not been completed in a correct and professional manor. I would like the front porch repaired, to look like it wasn't damaged, the gutters to be properly installed, so they drain the water, and a discount off the balance owed for all of the phone calls, complaints, deception and poor work received.Â

They re-caulked the tub and the shower, and re sealed the shower door. They also cleaned the tile in the shower. and very courteous. UPDATE:  On closer inspection after the caulking and sealing dried, we noticed open areas in the caulking where the shower wall meets the floor, where water could leak into the wall and floor. The work around the tub was very good. UPDATE  Dec. 9  Gary responded to my email with photos right away. His handyman twosome was out here today, to rectify the problem with the caulking. For some reason, the caulk had come out along the floor/wall seams. It is supposed to be ready after 3 hours, and we actually waited till the next day before using the shower. They used a hair dryer and vacuum to dry out the seams, and re-caulked it all.   We agreed to wait two days before using the shower.Looks great now.

This was an awful experience. After playing email and phone tag with the company. We were finally able to schedule a gutter/roof inspection. I asked the company when scheduling if after the roof inspecition and sales pitch if the gutter cleaning would be performed and the answer was yes. When the person arrived they did an inspection and tried to sell us gutter covers. They then said if we purchase the covers they would clean the gutters, but if we did not it would take an additional 3-4 weeks before they would come out to clean the gutters. I called angie's list and filed a complained. They issued me a refund without any issues. This company is very misleading and ruins the integrity of angie's list. I highly advise not to purchase any deals from this company.

Justin led the two person crew (Justin and Dan). He greeted me professionally, listened to my requests and did an excellent job cleaning the gutters and cleaning up the gutter debri and more. In addition, Justin brought the excess debri to our compost pile and left the outside better than he found it. I asked Justin to inspect the areas of the gutter which overflow during rainstorms. He showed me the downspout leaf-catchers causing the overflow and made very helpful suggestions for correcting the problem. Both Justin and Dan left a very favorable impression of Homemasters. I'll use them again. Thank you!!

Prompt response. 2 workers arrived on time. They complained that they didnt do kitchen floor grout restoration, even though the deal was for 'kitchen/bath caulking and grout restoration.' Eventually they agreed to clean the kitchen grout, and proceeded to scrape the grout. They did a so-so job. My wife thought the guy was a little rude. For the price, can't complain much though.
