Canceled and rescheduled. I got a cost estimate after they arrived at the house. The cost estimate of $543 seems high for a fairly straightforward task - replacement of three exterior lights w/new ones provided by me - I agreed to it because I just wanted to get the work done. The attempt to sell me on a surge protector for my circuit breaker box (for an additional $375) didn't impress me. The work was done quickly after I approved the cost estimate. The quality of the work seems good, but it's only been two days. The electricians who came to the house were very polite, but afterword I felt like I'd been overcharged with an attempt at "upselling me" on the circuit breaker surge protector.

We are very pleased with Beacon Electrical Services. They kept us informed from the appointment, appointment reminders and when they were about to arrive. The technician was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. He upgraded the outlets along the sink counter, fixed a reversed polar outlet and capped a light switch and light fixture we no longer used. He also upgraded the electrical source and ground wired the Garage door opener Price was reasonable.

DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOLPLE! They can not keep a schedule. When I scheduled, they gave me the proverbial 1pm to 5pm arrival time. They called and emailed me to confirm. I took a day off from work to be home, so I would be available during their scheduling window. Then,10 minutes before the window, they call me to say they wont be out. Obviously their scheduling process is badly flawed, or they can't effectively estimate job hours, or both. I'm telling you, don't waste your time with these people.

The install was great, and the tech was very professional. He installed my fan, grounded an outlet, and even got the fan to work with a switch. I live in an old building so anything electrical is always interesting. I opted out of the upsell for replacing my fuse box.
