We could not be happier about the outcome and process. It was a 5 star job. We have an early 1980s build home. Our outlets and switches were an awkward combination of beige switches and painted over plates. Recent remodeling in sections of the house that used white switches made the old switches even more awkward. Beacon replaced all of the switches and plugs with white "Decora" style plugs and rocker switches. The uniformity outlets as well as the upgraded styling really contributes to a much more updated look. Although we love the look of the new outlets, we hired Beacon for the quality of their approach and workmanship. I spoke with 5 different electricians and got 3 bids. There was a huge variety in pricing and proposed approach. Some proposed to price per outlet and others provided a whole house firm fixed price. When providing a whole house approach, some other firms presented short cuts that would have reduced costs, but also compromised the overall integrity of the job (eliminating dimmer switches). When we found another firm that provided a comparable approach, we found Beacon to be very cost competitive. We selected Beacon to do the job because of the quality of their work. We got good value. Milton and Danny were a pleasure to have in our home. They walked through and checked every outlet and switch before they left.

I appreciate the quick response time!! Unfortunately the issue was user error, so I wasn't able to fully evaluate their performance. But based on my experience I will definitely keep them on my speed dial for my rental property in VA.

Kurt from Beacon Electric was prompt, and diligent. Worked in very high summer heat in our attic to replace an attic exhaust fan. Encountered and overcame problems quickly. Would not hesitate to use Beacon Electric again.
