Overall, Beacon Electric did a great job.  They were on time, professional and they were exceptionally clean.  They had to fish some wires and cut out some dry wall, but they cleaned up and left no evidence of dust, etc.

Very good experience.  I had a new service panel installed and got an estimate for a whole home generator.  On the panel installation there was one minor issue discovered after the electrician had left.  I left a voice message after hours.  Within 10 minutes, Bob, the owner, called me back.  They worked with me to get someone back out the next day that would fit my schedule and the problem was quickly resolved.  Not the cheapest, but good value!e

The technician was courteous, prompt and knowledgeable and performed all the work in a timely manner. Part of the service call was to conduct a free house electrical inspection, and he found several items that needed repairing or replacing. He subsequently completed the additional work and we could not be happier with the results.

The job included the installation of a 10 circuit sub-panel for a 7,500 watt portable generator.  Beacon was one 6 different companies that I received an estimate from, and provided the lowest price.  I am not a "lowest bidder" fan by nature, but their estimator was by far the most knowledgable and credible of all.  The day of the job, Victor (who I highly recommend) came to my house on time and proceeded to work. I am by nature curious about anything technical and asked a number of questions about the physics of the home electrical system.  Victor was more than happy to oblige my questions while performing his task.  He also noted a wiring deficiency due to a code change that went into effect after my house was built, which he corrected at no charge.  Although I do a lot of home wiring myself (I know my limitations), I will be going back to Beacon for any electrical needs that I don't want to tackle.  Very happy with this company.

beacon installer came on time& we were without power for less than 4 hours as he promised. he placed two ground rods& placed flags at the spots where the rods were placed. he gave us the installation permit & the inspection visit by fairfax county went smoothly. we would recommend beacon for electrical work& plan to have them replace our house outlets& switches.

We never like to see a review like this. Beacon Electrical Services strives to do the best we can on each and every job we encounter. It is upsetting that you would choose to not use our services again and it would be nice if that could change. Unfortunately, in this business, we do rely on others to help us get to the completion of a job. It really is a team effort from all ends, starting with us, to the county inspector, all the way to Pepco. Getting all of these people on the same page, usually works out just fine. On occasion,we may hit a bump in the road. We do apologize if your experience as a whole was not up to your expectations, but hope you will judge Beacon Electrical Services on our performance alone. You had some nice comments regarding out techs and we appreciate that. The team of two electricians did a great job on taking out and replacing the old circuit breaker box with the new one.  There was a more senior electrician and an apprentice.  However, after installing a line to the rear of the house and putting in floodlights for the backyard -- about two days later they stopped working.  We called them back and they came a week later to fix it - after I had to test the line to see if voltage was going through and buying a new set of lights - and they claimed they had fixed again.  The problem had been they ran the line to a switch light in our kitchen - we had asked them to run a dedicated line for the motion sensor/floodlights.  Again, after about a day, these lights stopped working again.  We contacted the company a third time, and after apologizing and promising to send someone else out - we didn't hear from them for a few days.  At this point I contacted the head of the company and asked to have the master electrician come and fix the problem permanently or we would never do business with them again.  They finally sent a new electrician out (with the apprentice) and figured out again they ran a line to another switch in the house.  They finally fixed the problem after the third attempt, and were very apologetic - and didn't charge anything.  It seemed like an honest mistake, however, the senior electrician should have caught this problem on the first try, I don't blame the apprentice necessarily.  Overall, I'm not sure I will use them again.

We are in total agreement with you, that someone should have caught this before leaving your home. It is unacceptable for this happen at all, much less twice!! We work very hard to avoid these issues, and mostly we do, but occassionaly, we mess up. Our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience we may have caused.
