Technicians showed up on time. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. They took the time to explain to educate us, explain our options, and the benefits and drawbacks of each course of action.

I purchased a 7k watt generator off an Angies List Deal.  Since the crew was coming out, I also wanted my main house panel replaced.  The team came out and walked through the steps they needed to complete to finish the work.  It took two days to complete with no issues.  The guys even worked in the cold and rain (I really expected them to pack it up but they stuck it out).  Once the generator was installed, they coordinated with the gas plumber to install the line and then worked with the county to get everything inspected.  I like them so much, I had them come out again for a different repair.

Provider responded promptly to schedule work and arrived on time; they did an excellent job of scheduled work and also provided an estimate for additional electrical work.  Estimate for additional work was reasonable, and extra work was completed.  All work was outstanding and all provider employees were professional and courteous.   I would use this provider again and would certainly recommend to family, friends, and neighbors.

I have no complaints about the work that was done. I am not happy with the owner because he refuses to give me the 5500 credit that I was told I would receive. He gave me a credit of 3500 and now he is saying that I owe him. I just want the 5500 credit that I was promised to me. I'm really disappointed with this process he keeps sending me a bill stating that I owe him money. I don't want my money back I just want him to honor the credit. I would like for Angie's List to resolve this manner for me.

The facts of this review are simple. The customer was completely satisfied with the work by our company as stated in his review on May 6, 2013. The customer purchased an Angie's list coupon for a 7kw generator for $3899 but then decided to purchase an upgraded 20kw generator for additional cost instead. At no point did we ever present this transaction with the understanding or guise that he would receive a 5500 credit towards his new generator. In fact, our original quote which this customer signed and authorized never made any mention of this. Furthermore, he later admitted after the work was done that he had possibly misunderstood the intention of the Angie's list coupon. In addition, He opted for an upgraded (Briggs and Stratton) generator for an additional $600 fee which he authorized on top of our original agreement. Our payment schedule is simple and clear. We ask for a 30% deposit, a 30% system delivery fee, a 30% substantial progress fee, and a 10% final payment. During each payment phase this customer was provided with an updated invoice and informed of remaining payments due. At no point did the customer ever question any invoice until the final payment was due and all work was complete. We contacted him via email and phone countless times to resolve the final bill. At the completion of the job, he refused to pay a remaining balance of $900. In an attempt to extort money from our company, he decided to write a "F" review. This customer continued his efforts to extort money from our company and recently filed a dispute claim against us. Angies List investigated and subsequently denied his claim.

Our experience with them was very good. The gentleman that they sent was exceedingly conscientious and hard working. He explained exactly what they did by showing us and I liked that. He was great. The price seemed very fair to me. We do need them to do some more stuff.

The process was fairly simple. I bought the deal online and scheduled an appointment. The electrician was on time and did a good job installing and cleaning after him. I checked the roof after he left and it looked good. One issue though is that the electrician told me he set the thermostat at 75F which means it will be running almost all the time from spring to winter and he was fine with that idea. The recommended value is around 100 F and an electrician should know better. No big deal since I can easily change it but there are folks who may not know how to do that.

I purchased the Big Deal - $119 for 2 hours of electrical work. It took almost exactly 2 hours to perform the work. We wanted a basic track light installed over our island in the kitchen. This should have been an easy job (that we could do ourselves), but the junction box had way more wires coming into it than it should have had, and it was wired for a dual switch... but there was only one switch. Our house had been flipped, so who knows what kind of electrical work was done to cut cost. We needed an electrician to do the re-wiring for a single switch, so I bought the Big Deal. When I called Beacon to set up the appointment, the person that answered was courteous and helpful and worked with me to find the best time for the electrician to come out. When I gave my information, she was able to see my Big Deal purchase in the system - which made it easy on me, I didn't have to look up the order number or print my receipt. Beacon called me the day before the appointment to confirm; then again about 30 minutes prior to arrival. The electrician re-wired the connection to a single switch without any problem. The junction box for the island light was located off-center from where the light needed to hang, so the electrician cut a hole in the correct location and was able to fish the wire through the ceiling to the new hole. This kept us from having to repair the drywall afterwards. After the wiring was done, he installed the light - including the three globes for the pendants. The electrician showed up within the specified window of time, reviewed everything thoroughly with me before doing the work, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. He also made sure that I was pleased with exactly how the pendants were hanging, and that I felt everything was level. I very much appreciated this since it's the type of thing I tend to be OCD about! The job we had done was fairly simple and straightforward, but I would definitely have Beacon Electrical back again if we needed further work done.
