Reviews
Write a ReviewIt went well. I used the big deal shortly after I purchased it and the man who came out did not charge me anything more than that. He did not find any problems but he had a couple of suggestions for us. I liked him. He was friendly and his father or uncle or someone came back the same day to give us a price on something else as well that we had talked about. They were nice.
The work turned out fine. I filled out a form when they came. It has been awhile since they came. They did perform some other stuff because I did not use all their time for the initial thing I had them for. I used their services shortly after I purchased the big deal. The price was fair.

Thanks for your review.
The company came out and did the service pertaining to the big deal. That went fine. We asked for a recommendation or advise for the installation and hook up of a new cook top stove. They came back with an estimate that was very high in a price and elaborate. There was going to be a lot of expense involved.
Thanks for your review. Our big deal for 2 hours of electrical work is one of most popular. Our clients find that they get a lot of work for the price! Beacon provided a fair estimate for hooking up the cook top stove. The technician we sent out realized that this job had some special circumstances which would make the job more difficult and time consuming. He thoroughly went over all aspects of the job with the client and presented her with an estimate. At this point they have chosen not to use Beacon for that job. They remain satisfied with work we did provide for them at their home.
I was so pleased. I had purchased a coupon for breaker panel marking and whole house inspection. When the tech saw my breaker panel it was already well marked so he credited me for that job. Then he made recommendations for work that should be done, some more necessary than others; and provided me with an estimate. No pressure , to do the work at all. I had three extra jobs I wanted done and he told me how he could do them economically. I certainly would use Beacon Electric again. I had a really good feeling about working with them.
Thanks for your review and we look forward to working with you on your next electrical project.

From the initial visit of Bob Hanifin, of Beacon Electrical Services, on 10 July to the final installation. on 15 August. The three representatives were very professional, polite, explained the process and respond to questions quickly and accurately., Bob called and scheduled a preliminary visit, on 10 July, evaluated the current power panel and the installation requirements and process, the electrical grounding requirements and options for running the ground. The proposal we received the next day was complete and outlined all of the actions, permits and costs associated with the upgrade. The installation was scheduled for 1 August. Stephen arrived a few minutes early and following a review of the proposal and the discussion of the sequence started work. He started with the installation of the external grounding rods and wire. when it started to rain. He moved inside continued with running the interior grounding wire.  By this time it was thundering and raining very heavily. Subsequently he could not safely do any outside work . He the rescheduled the completion of the work for the 15th of August. On the 15th, Jesse, arrived on time, called about 20 minutes out. Reviewed what Stephen had done and started work. While working outside on the electrical wiring he caught an occasional whiff of gas.  I called Washington Gas, they sent out a crew, and sure enough we had a small leak at the regulator. They fixed it and Jesse continued the outside installation. He then moved inside and completed the installation and rewiring of the new panel,, marked all of the circuits, discussed the County inspection requirements and answered numerous questions pertaining to County ordinances on power and household wiring. Throughout this process they used drop cloths and left a very clean area when they departed. I am very impressed,as was the Fairfax County electrical inspector, on  the quality of workmanship , The professionalism of Beacon Electrical Services is outstanding. I would strongly recommend them to my friends and neighbors for any electrical project based on their demonstrated performance on this project. Sy Berdux
This is a great review! Thanks! We work hard to make sure we meet all electrical codes and surpass the expectations of the county officials. We appreciate your recommendations and look forward to working with you again.
Great explanation of process and importance of correcting issues. Good prices; very cooperative. We will do the work, but in stages.
Thanks for your review!!
A 1971 electrical circuit panel needed to be updated and reconfigured. Beacon installed a new, generator-ready panel in preparation for a whole house generator. Additionally, the old panel was maxed out and did not allow for any additional circuits. The new panel gives us room to increase our capacity by an extra 3 circuits. The installer came out for the initial inspection and arrived on time.
