Reviews
Write a ReviewOverall, a pleasant experience. I would call them again for additional electrical work. Matt was very professional, and I highly recommend him.
They were very easy to work with and professional.
Plumber was on time and very knowledgeable. Was able to find the leaks and recommended the necessary fix.
Excellent!

Very well. The work was done efficiently and cleanly. The electrician explained what was needed and why.

Tech was amazing. Super friendly. Explained everything before starting the work and then showed every step to ensure we knew the work was being done correctly and with quality we expected. Call Center was also on top of keeping me notified on my tech’s arrival eta. Highly recommend Beacon Home Services.
Kristina was quick to schedule an in home quote as well as work to be done. She checked in frequently to confirm and update arrival of the Electrician. Mat, now what can I say.... He was straight forward, pleasant and answered all my questions in detail. He ran over several scenario's and options, explaining how he'd approach the project and why. He knew what he was doing and I had complete faith in handing the project over to him. Despite some challenges found mid-job, he adapted and overcame them finding elegant and effective solutions to install outlets in tricky areas. Mat WENT OUT OF HIS WAY, to fix our doorbell AND took a look at outdoor outlets that were not functioning, explaining that they are all tied to the GFCI in the garage. Who knew? Mat knew. Anyways, I would not hesitate to use Beacon Home Services again. They schedule and work fast, and delivered everything as promised. Great communication from the team at Beacon home base too. Getting those updates really made it easy to plan my errands and other services. Thanks, Beacon.
Great just a bit costly
This is a difficult review to write. Up until this week I would have given Beacon a "5" on all categories. But today I can't be so positive, I have requested them for four services at this time; 3 plumbing and 1 electrical. Here's a summary of each service: 1. Plumbing: Service a well water system. Our prior well water company had gone out of business. Beacon was responsive and dealt with an unfamiliar system pretty well. They replaced needed consumables and determined how to adjust the water to the right pH and hardness. Reasonably priced, but they did overestimate supplies (but they left excess with me so presumably the next time it will be cheaper). Good first experience, "B+" rating. 2. Plumbing: Repair broken shower control, replace Shower head, and track down intermittent leak from said shower. Super responsive. The tech did a lot of trouble shooting and determined that the overflow was mis-adjusted and that the gasket on the overflow was decayed and needed replacement. All work done at reasonable price and very thankful for the Tech's experience. "A" Rating, no further leaks! 3. Electrical: Run a new circuit for a portable hot tub to two locations. Disclaimer: I am an electrical engineer who has dealt with homeowner electrical improvements in the past. This tech worked with me on the design of the new circuit, cautioned me on the things I needed to do outside of Beacon's service (aka dig a trench for the underground line) and came out to support the county inspection. When the inspector required changes, the Tech worked with me to implement them with minimal cost increase. A++/ 100 % rating. 4. Replace a failed instahot faucet. The tech could not seem to find a replacement part at a reasonable price. He gave me a quote for $933. I contacted Instahot, and they directed me to a $350 replacement part on Amazon and provided a video for homeowner replacement. When I declined the service the Tech called and said that it was not just the cost of the hardware but his time. I pointed out that I wasn't willing to pay $587 labor for a straightforward 30 minute in and out replacement that I could do myself. So an "F" on this service, which I declined.
We are grateful that you took the time out to leave us a review. Your feedback helps us to improve service for everyone! - Beacon Home Services
