My experience with Beacon Electric did not start off well but, in the end, Beacon came through and made it end well—and to my satisfaction.  I scheduled an appointment for the afternoon of 11/3 to have a pendant light installed over a kitchen island and have a foyer chandelier removed and replaced with a new chandelier.  I called that morning to confirm that I was on the schedule. Despite receiving assurances that the workers were on the way, they were not able to show up until about 7PM that evening.  Clearly there was a miscommunication.  When the workers arrived, they were pleasant and apologized for the misunderstanding. They quickly provided an estimate of cost for the work and suggested adding recess lights to kitchen to complement the pendant light. However, given the late hour, I had to rearrange my schedule and take an additional day off from  work to have the job completed. Once the business manager was made aware of my issue, he called to apologize and ask how he could fix the problem. I suggested discounting the cost of the recess lights, we agreed upon a satisfactory amount, and the work was scheduled for Friday, 11/7.  This time the workers called about a half hour before the appointment to confirm they were on the way, they arrived on time, and promptly completed the work as agreed.  This was my second experience with Beacon Electric (the first was stellar!) and, despite the mishap, I would not hesitate to contact them again.  The take-away here is that Beacon Electric is run by humans and they’re not infallible but, if they make a mistake, they will admit it and work with you to fix it.
