Their person came to the house and look at the problem make a recommendation and tell you exactly what they are going to do and give you a free estimate and you can agree to have them do it or not and they will also set up a time if you do agree for them to do it so that they can come at the time and do the work. They didn't do exactly like they said they were going to do. One of the thing they were supposed to do is they are to dig a 2 x 2 foot hole under my house every place they put a concrete anchor and then they put a post on top of that concrete anchor up to the I-beam. They didn't dig a hole. All they did was place the concrete anchor on top of the gravel that I had under that. I was going to give them a chance to respond to that before I put a comment in.
The walls look great after installation. The work did take an extra day, but it is perfect and we are extremely satsified with the final product. The Brightwall system is perfect for a waterproofed basement to make your basement walls look great, without fully finishing your basement. We re-hired Indiana Foundation because of the great work they did waterproofing our basement. Highly recommended!
I was amazed that there was no dust. We have a tiled floor and the only tiles effected were those associated with the three ~8" holes they drilled in the kitchen. The repair has a 20 year guarantee, which is even transferable to a new owner. We would definitely refer them to anyone needing any foundation repair.
Good company! Did install on a Saturday and finished in the same day
They did a good job. They ended up having to do a little more work than they had originally said, but the work was fine. They were much more responsive than another company that I had called. Everytime I called them about something, they were right on it.
Very easy to work with. They tried to keep the dust and mess to a minimum. Cleaned up at the end of the day. Took longer than estimated. Looked very professional when done.
My house had foundation structural problems (rotted wood) with some of the plates and joists. I contacted Indiana Foundation Service (as well as two other contractors) in May 2012 for an assessment of the damage and what it would cost to remove the material and replace it with new. It was made clear I was relying on the contractor to assess the damage and make all necessary repairs. They inspected the problems and offered their solutions along with a price. I decided to hire Indiana Foundation Service and made an initial payment. In time, a crew appeared and went to work. They spent a day and a half working under the house. After they proclaimed the job complete I crawled under the house to inspect for final payment. I found a rotten plate and rotten end joists still in place. I phoned Indiana Foundation Service to let them know their crew had not finished the job as claimed. A couple days later they sent a couple of guys to, once again, " complete" the job. This time the work appeared to be complete. I sent final payment. In time it became quite apparent the symptoms of structural damage continued to persist. The drywall near the bottom of a wall between the house and attached garage continued bowing out. I was confused about what the problem could be because Indiana Foundation Service had already " fixed" this problem area. They were certainly PAID to fix this problem area! I had to hire a couple of carpenters out of Terre Haute to investigate why the wall was still bowing that way. They discovered it was because the foundation wood below it was rotten . . . STILL! Upon further investigation it was shown that Indiana Foundation Service had left the rotted joists (one on either side of the center beam) in place and COVERED THEM WITH NEW WOOD!. The old rotted plate beneath them was left in place and obscured with new wood as well. My visual inspection was useless because the pre-existing rotted wood was hidden from view. I phoned Indiana Foundation Service once again and told them they needed to come have a look. They did and after some fussing on their part, agreed to give me a partial refund. The refund was a small fraction of what I feel it should have been but that isn't my complaint here. I digress. When the refund was first offered I had a closer look at our contract. I discovered that they failed as well to install a new crawl space access door and frame as agreed, and again, as paid. (In my disgust I had forgotten about the crawl space access door part of the agreement.) I chose to settle for the small fraction rather than spend time valuable time in court. Here's what bothers me most: I can understand the crew forgetting or not knowing to replace the crawl space access door but how could they simply cover and hide damaged support structure with new wood? Is this a common practice for Indiana Foundation Service Inc? What other clients have placed their faith in Indiana Foundation Service only to suffer a similar failure to fulfill an agreement? What additional damage has been experienced due to Indiana Foundation Service's masking of existing structural damage they were supposed to repair but didn't? I put my faith in Indiana Foundation Service to address my problems. They failed to perform as necessary, as expected and, as PAID. My faith was misplaced. That was my mistake. So was hiring Indiana Foundation Service. Will you make it yours as well?
Thank you for your feedback, we at Indiana Foundation Service continuously strive to provide great customer service. It is unfortunate that the work in question had already been removed prior to our site visit by someone other than our company. In an attempt to provide the member satisfaction, Indiana Foundation Service refunded the money paid for the “wood repair in question” and for the crawl space door that was not installed. We do apologize for any miscommunication on our end.
Fine
Sorry too busy
