Write a ReviewHe said it would be about $1200 to fix. My husband asked what if it doesn't fix it and they explained that that's what the warranty is for. They came back out the next week and the salesman had said they would be injecting foam into areas to fill the leak and would also patch it. We wrote a check for the full amount and the work was done. We had rainfall come down the following week and the area was still exposed and water was coming through. We called them back, and they came out to look at it. This was yesterday. The guy said that the work was done and that they should have done a wrap around the wall, which would have only been $400 dollars in the first place. I called them last night and explained the issue to them. I asked the supervisor if he had discussed what was going on with the workers. He claimed that it was my husbands fault because it was done the way the salesman told him it needed to be done. The salesmans name is Dave Harting. The supervisor and I got into a heated discussion. I told them I wanted them to refund the difference and for them to come out to fix it the proper way and we'd all be happy. He said "no" and that they were not doing that. I again told him to just come out to fix it and he told me not to yell at him and that it was done that way because my husband wanted it done the way the salesman wanted it done. The conversation ended and the salesman called me an hour later. I explained everything and he said that they were not coming out unless my husband was there. I explained my husband was at work and they still refused. I then told them that my husband would be there. They showed up at my door today without notice and I brought them down into the basement to look at the spot. I told them I just wanted them to fix it. They said they were not even going to discuss it because my husband was not there. I explained that he is a physician and that it's difficult for him to leave work right away but he was getting there as soon as he could. My 21 year old daughter was present and heard everything.
The workers who came out were friendly, great communicators, clean and professional. They had to dig a large trench around the area of our house affected, but they were very careful about avoiding drainage systems, a special tree we wanted to keep, and of course, our utilities. They carefully lifted our house back to where the cracks were very small and we could again lock our windows. When they were done, they replaced the dirt and tamped it down. I would highly recommend this company, even though we had to wait about 1 1/2 months for the service because they are so busy. But, they were excellent, and very trustworthy and we would definitely hire them again if needed.
Keith came out to give an estimate. he was very honest and forthright. The workers came on the day of installation and completed the job very well ahead of schedule.
They were on time. The three workmen were knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Job was completed in two days that they anticipated. Bid was for $6,000, job ended up being $9,000.
Indiana Foundation Service was our fourth estimator in a search for a company to replace the 1900 sq ft of vapor barrier in our crawl space and remove all old materials, including moldy subfloor insulation. After 3 other estimates in the $6,000 range for very nice plans but much more involved than we felt we needed, Rick Oxendine came up with a solution that included taking out the old materials, replacing the vapor barrier, and spraying for any residual mold on surfaces. I so appreciated the advice and insight he shared with us, as well as information sent ahead of time in the mail. The packet included names of customers in Carmel so I was able check someone I knew personally besides the Angie's List reports. On the designated day for the work, three guys donned jumpsuits and masks, etc., for removing the old materials after 30 years of accumulation of dirt, dust, and, more recently, mold. An extra truck and more workers came later to haul away the mountains of old batting which they stuffed into humongous bright yellow bags. The installation of the new vapor barrier and spraying of the entire space was completed by mid-afternoon. We were very pleased with the workers as well as the work, their respectful explanations when I had questions, and the timely completion of the job.
We had to reschedule appt. due to unforeseen emergency. the company also made an attempt to find property; the fact this company made every effort to show up on time and as scheduled is a good sign they will get the job done.
The workers were on time and performed good job throughout project. Only thing forgotten was to seal the turtle entry way. Had to reschedule appt for this.
They were excellent in every aspect! They showed up on time, completed within budget. They cleaned up well.
Men arrived on time and finished on time. Very polite and professional and answered all my questions.
Excellent attitude. Knowledge of problem and analysis methods.
