IF YOU ARE HAVING WOOD REPAIRED IN YOUR CRAWL SPACE, BE PREPARED FOR SOME SMALL CRACKS TO APPEAR IN YOUR INTERIOR WALLS. THE HOUSE NEEDS TO BE SLIGHTLY LIFTED DURING THIS WORK, AND EVEN WITH THE CARE THIS COMPANY GAVE TO THIS PROCESS, SOME MINOR CRACKS APPEARED. THIS IS NOT A MAJOR ISSUE FOR PAINTED WALLS, BUT YOU NEED TO CONSIDER THOSE WALLS ON WHICH YOU HAVE WALLPAPER. THE CREW MEMBERS WERE ALWAYS WILLING TO EXPLAIN WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS I HAD. ERIC AND EDDIE WERE ESPECIALLY HELPFUL. WHEN THE WOOD REPAIR IS DONE, YOU CAN DEFINITELY FEEL THE FLOOR IS MORE SOLID. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY IF YOU NEED DRAINAGE WORK AND/OR WOOD REPAIR IN YOUR CRAWL SPACE.

I only received one listing and called them. I hope it was a good contract, but since I didn't have anyone to compare it to, I don't know for sure. We had anchors installed that have a life-time guarantee. They are supposed to keep our retaining wall from falling. There is a huge crack in it and it's buckling inward. We called JES basement systems and they made an appointment and came out. We were told that we should go with the anchors instead of replacing the wall. We were also told we would get 10% off the price since we had a coupon from the web. We were supposed to get some type of wrench to try to straighten the wall a little at a time every few months. After the work was done, our account was charged the full amount and we had to talk to someone several times to get it adjusted. We also had to call about the wrench when it hadn't been brought or sent out after 3 months. As far as I can tell, the work was done well. They had told me that the anchors would have to be about 10 feet from the wall though and when they were installed, they were only put about 3-4 feet from the wall. I don't know if that will change anything or not. The guys who were installing them said not. I also don't know if the shorter anchors would have been a different cost, but again, they said not. So far it has done the job. They are very nice to talk to, but I'm not sure they are doing all they contract to do. I was very disappointed to find the charge to be wrong, and then getting the run around to get it fixed.

THEIR WORKMANSHIP AND PRODUCT QUALITY WERE GREAT. THE WAY THE OFFICE STAFF CONDUCTS ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS IS INCREDIBLE. HOWEVER THE WORKERS WERE VERY INTRUSIVE BY THE FREQUENCY OF USING MY BATHROOM. I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE WORK ITS JUST WORKERS MANNERS AND LACK OF RESPECT WHEN USING MY HOME.

I had the work done on 4 Nov 02. I was sent a copy of the contract telling me that the work is good for 25 years. The only problem is, there was no date on the contract showing when the work was completed. I called J.E.S. about this and was told a dated contract would be sent out. That was at the begining of Dec and I still have not received any contract. I also wanted something in writing saying that it would be inadvisible to raise the foundation anymore, even though there is still a crack in the bricks. The crack is not as bad as it was prior to having the foundation lifted, but it is still there. I have yet to receive anything about my concern. That's why I marked poor on the communication part of the survey.
