Reviews
Write a Reviewgreat customer service, they answered all are questions, feel confident in there work.
The guys that did the work were very courteous and professional. Very nice guys.
When there was any question or issue during the project, they were always very willing to work it out to our satisfaction
Great experience with Ohio Basement Authority. They were the most thorough out of the 4 companies I had come out and give me an estimate on our sewer repair. The estimator drew a layout of our back yard, explained the process, and even accounted for the temporary removal of our fence so their equipment could get through. No other company went to this level of detail. The estimators and techs were knowledgeable and polite, and took care to make sure I was aware of what they were doing during the entire process. I'm only knocking half a point off of the customer service rating because they haven't yet emailed me the pictures of the work as promised. Even though it's a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, I still think it's important to note. Overall I highly recommend Ohio Basement Authority.
Very professional workers
we had a great Foreman Victor he kept us informed everyday what was happening and asked us daily if we had questions . Victor and his team were courteous and respectful in every way , would have him and his team do work for us again . Thanks Victor and guys.
Thank you so much for your review!
Although all matters were resolved at the conclusion of our business relationship with Ohio Basement Systems, getting there was not a pleasant experience. The contract installation went as planned on the scheduled date but two of the helitals used to lift the foundation punctured a cast iron drain pipe leading out of the house built in 1930 prior to established code. We were fortunate that the punctured line captured only gray water from the kitchen sink on the main floor and the utility sink and washing machine in the basement. We spent $189.00 for a plumber to snake the drain line and subsequently confirm a breakage near the same distance along the house where the first helital was driven into the ground five feet below grade. After several inconclusive phone calls to OBS, we were referred to their insurance company in Cincinnati who promptly rejected the claim by virtue of the damage exemption clause we had to sign before the work could initially proceed. (Our mistake for signing it.) OBS had O.U.P.S. mark the utility lines that only included the natural gas line. (Better utility detection is needed if this type of damage is to be avoided in the future.) Eventually, OBS agreed to send a crew out to reroute the above drains into the main sewage line via a crock and sump pump after sealing the ruptured drain. Six weeks passed from the time of the inflicted damage until the repair was completed. Had OBS ruptured the main sewage line, much more would have been said publically and in the court system about this matter. As it was, dish waste water was collected in a bowl and laundry was cleaned at a Laundromat. The initial work was to include the installation of a rain chute that would have fanned water away from the house. The device wasn't practical; an existing extension tube was already in use so it was never installed. Our Service Representative initially told me the refund check of $258.50 would be given to the technician arriving to repair the drain. He knew nothing about the refund check when asked. A second call to the service rep assured me the check would be sent out first thing the following Monday. No checked arrived the following week. Several more calls to the service rep were routed to voice mail and went unreturned including one which the secretary told me that he was in his office. An email to our Sales Representative yielded a quick reply from him and a seemingly miraculous call from the service rep in the field telling me about a new accounting system that delayed the processing of our refund with a promise that the check would be issued which it finally was. One final note of concern is that the contract said workers would not use tobacco while on our premises; that was contravened by the fact the we disposed several cigarette filters left on the driveway adjacent to the work site. Neither of us smoke.
Was a great experience working with professionals.
Great work. Great customer service. They rescheduled installation to fit in a closing, which was okay. Should have offered a discount for the inconvenience.
The crew was on time & very polite. They made sure I knew every step of the process as they completed them. They cleaned up after they were done & made sure it was to my liking. I had a great experience working with this company. There are also many things they include for the price like life time warranty on their work & regrading the ground after it settles!
