The workman were very professional. Before the actual repairs took place, I received a booklet from Basement Authority which did a lot of explaining about what happens to basements, etc , which was good education.

The contact person and the crew who did the work were very courteous and professional. I'm waiting for a big rainfall to see if the replaced drain tiles can handle the work.

The part of the process between signing the contract and getting scheduled wasn't smooth- the salesperson (Carl) just lacked all manner of initiative. I was disappointed in that because he didn't seem like the type- I basically harangued him for over a week without any forward progress. However, I called the main office myself and worked out a date- highly recommend this approach if you have the same issue. Literally everyone beyond the salesperson was stellar- the reason for the A rating. The main office folks were pleasant, efficient and very helpful. The guys who did the work were fast and did exceptionally good work- felt a bit like the Wizard of Oz scene when they first reached the Emerald City. The lead guy found an issue with our footer drains- outside of the work he was doing- that would have caused the system to fail in a severe rain. I was able to get a plumber to come out and fix it within the next day or two. The Ohio Basement guys gave us a temporary solution that was within code, and came right back out to tie into that footer drain the day after the plumber corrected the issue. A few weeks after the system was installed, we had one of the biggest rainfalls we've ever had and the system worked flawlessly. From a service or quality perspective, I honestly couldn't have asked for more and do highly recommend them.

It's going to cost us $13,000 and our basement still is leaking water onto the floor. They had to go around our fuel tank and said that they were confident that there would not be water under it. It is currently damp underneath there and they won't warranty it because they had to go around it. But I took them at their word that going around it would not be an issue. They are suppose to be coming back to the house to evaluate the problem.
