Reviews
Write a ReviewAfter quoting out with multiple companies, Ohio Basement Authority was a great choice. They were very thorough in explaining the options and were courteous on the day of the drainage install. I appreciated that they took great care with the sprinkler lines and repairing any items accidentally hit. They helped troubleshoot a few other potential problems when on-site saving a service call as well. Nick Toledo, Larry and Chad were prompt and certainly a crew I'd hire again.
Thank you so much for your review and for trusting us with your exterior drainage project! We're happy to hear that you had a wonderful experience with us! If we can help you with anything else, please let us know.
Real pros, prompt, proficient and ready to start on my project. Loo
Thank you for your high rating and feedback! We greatly appreciate it, and we look forward to working with you on your exterior drainage project!
Cancelled job, lost deposit,, for now. Lawyer involved. Was told by DJ on Aug 21st that materials were already ordered for a job to begin on Oct 4th. Was told permits already pulled. I checked online and then went to the City of Akron/Summit County on Aug 26th (same building, but separate divisions) on Tallmadge Ave. and both city and county had no record of permits being pulled on my property by OBS or their other name under which they go by. DJ also told me when I signed up on July 17th that I could cancel beyond the three business days as long as materials weren't delivered. So much for a hand shake.
Mr. Slaubaugh, We are extremely confused as to why you are sending in this review 2 months later. Our records show you signed a contract with us on July 18th then cancelled over a month later on August 23rd. In that month, we ordered and had delivered to our warehouse all of the materials for your job, as you were an on call customer that could be pulled up. Meaning we need to have your order ready to go at a moments notice. Your cancellation caused us to endure non refundable shipping and re-stocking fees, costing us a couple thousand dollars. We did begin the permit process, but were able to cancel it, luckily we were able to recover the permit costs, but still had to pay wages to send someone to the building department, twice, on your behalf. It is normal for a city to not have a record of permit for a job that was cancelled. In fact this is common practice for municipalities to not keep record. After all of the costs we endured, all of the time spent on your project and even after you cancelled way out of rescission we still sent you a check for your deposit. We are having our accounting department look into whether or not it was cashed. Again, we are confused as to why you are giving us a negative review and claiming we kept your deposit, months later. Please contact Jeremy Tenney, our Vice President to discuss this further. 330-425-0797
It went very well. Mark and Joe were great. Any questions we had were answered every day before they left. They cleaned up every day before they left. We are very happy with everything so far.
They were very professional and answered all my questions promptly.
Thank you so much for your review and for trusting us with your repairs! We hope you had a wonderful experience with us, and please let us know if we can help you with anything else!
Did a great job. Cleaned up. Explained everything. Done right and done fast.
You need to be flexible when scheduling for this project with this company. The start and end dates may change from what is originally scheduled at the last minute. The work crew we had was very professional and explained every part of the project to us as they were completing it. The basement walls look great! Our thanks to our work crew: Marquis, Adam, Shane.

We hope you had a wonderful experience with our company, and please let us know if we can help you with anything else.
Recently bought a house with insulation and mold issues in a very tight crawl space. Called the specialists who first thought they would need to remove flooring to go in through the first floor. Actually completed the job by James and his crew squirming through for abatement of old insulation, detoxifying, insulating and placement of vapor barrier. Saved us the cost of new carpeting and vinyl flooring. Adam also refunded us some of the quoted price due to some work and materials not having to be done or replaced. I highly reccomend this company and wouldn't hesitate to call on their services again if needed. Professional, neat, courteous, and timely service with an excellent outcome.
They were so polite and respectful of my home. They worked quickly and efficiently and explained everything as they were working on the remodel.
