Pronto had good craftsmen but had no customer service. It was just about empossible to contact the company to ask any questions. They would never get back to you. I would never use them again. I hope the rest of the companies you recommend are not like this one.

My experience with Pronto was very unprofessional. I hired Pronto to do a small project replacing some rotted wood on my front porch and to replace a few pieces of siding on my home. One the day Pronto was supposed to do the job, when my wife and I got home we could hardly tell anyone had been there. 99% of the job was not completed, thought I got an invoice saying the job was done and asking for payment. In the places where the siding needed replacing, the old damaged siding was re-used, held together with caulk or a bonding agent. I know because when I check out the work, I touched it and the agent got all over my hands. I called the sales rep and he assured me the project would be taken care of, and it was not how Pronto operated. The next day the job was not done again. I got a line of excuses from a project manager as to why the job wasn't done again and then was told the project would cost more because the handy man had found more damage. The sales rep, to his credit always called me back when the project manager wouldn't. I finally told the sales rep to not to bother sending don't anyone else to my house, we'd find someone else to do the work.

I have a list of home repairs for them to do. It includes bathroom, countertop, kitchen garbage disposal. And had made appointment through Home Advisor website. However Pronto replayed they are only able to do one thing, which is caulking and drywall patching, and unable to do rest of the list. I thought a handyman is supposed to do everything around the house. It turns out not for this company. Very disappointed!

Very professional and personable when they arrived to do the estimate and schedule the work. Then the trouble began. They called back to say they forgot to quote the painting and wanted another $700. I pointed out that the estimate specifically included painting the frame (unfortunately not the doors as well) and they reluctantly agreed. I painted the doors while waiting for their appointment time. Contractor showed up on time, though the scheduled time left insufficient time in the day to complete both doors. THEN once the work has started, they tell me the "jamb" is not in the quote - although I had specifically pointed to it during the time the estimator was here. They wanted ANOTHER $480. They were correct that "jamb" was not in the estimate, though "frame" was - a technicality I would have no way of catching as I reviewed the estimate. Then the worker said "I can't finish today, I'll have to come back for the second door in a week." After several complaints by phone, they sent out a second person. The door installation was finished around 9pm, but the area was a mess and no painting had been done. The worker agreed to come back the next day to clean/finish up (install 2 missing hinges). Returning around noon on Saturday, he did the hinges, caulked and cleaned up, but could not paint as rain was expected. He left. The next day I noticed that the exterior wall near the new jamb had a massive crack running down all one side. I did the painting they had promised to do. Now I get to call and argue with them about the bill - they should have had the jamb in the original quote and they quoted painting that they never did. Don't use these guys, they nickel and dime you (the "extra" 700 + 480 was more than the original quote).

    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them.
  8. Liens Search
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.
  9. Identity Verification (SSN)
    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
