Write a ReviewSupreme Air was outstanding. Scheduling the appointment was easy; Jeanette was very professional. Aaron came out to do the HVAC inspection/tune-up. He showed up before I did and waited in the rain. He was very thorough, and talked me through the inspection/tune-up step-by-step as he was doing it -- I got the best crash course on HVAC that I've ever had in my life. He was absolutely honest; replaced only what needed to be replaced but didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. I bought only one Big Deal coupon on Angie's list which we used on the older system. I have a second, newer system which is working fine, but he went up into the attic and inspected it anyway to make sure it is working well without charging me extra. The insulation around the hose in several areas had worn out; again he rewrapped the hoses without charging me extra. Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and absolutely professional. I will use Supreme Air for all my future HVAC needs.
Purchased our home in November 2011. During home inspection, freon leak from old Trane heat pump was noted and system was recharged by another company. Got through the winter knowing we were on borrowed time, changed system over to A/C on Memorial Day weekend. Found coils froze up overnight and system needed recharge. Called Supreme Air for emergency service on a Saturday morning, made it out that evening. After inspection of the system, I decided not to waste the money on leak check test, freon recharge, etc. on our 15 year old system and chose to invest in a new system installation. Supreme Air was able to have someone out on Sunday morning to give us the quote for a new Trane XL15i heat pump. Price quoted included removal of old system, installation of new system, and some minor duct work. Heard back from them Tuesday (after Memorial Day weekend) and had installation scheduled for Wednesday. Was able to finance at 0% for 36 months with rebates back from BGE and Trane. Supreme Air even allowed the money I spent on the emergency service call to be applied to the cost of the new system. Entire proposal, scheduling, and financing process was flawless. System installation went smooth - installers showed up on time and worked about a 7 hour day. House and yard were returned to the condition they found it. One minor problem happened because of our existing BGE Peak Rewards thermostat (which we chose not to have replaced) -- the wiring for these particular Honeywell thermostats is smaller than most other thermostat wires, and a wire somehow slipped out of place preventing the compressor from getting a signal from the thermostat to turn on. Supreme Air returned the next day (Thursday) and easily diagnosed the problem and had the system working again in minutes - nothing major, just a freak thing that I don't think was the installer's fault. Supreme Air had a follow-up quality check with me on Friday to ensure all the work was completed to our satisfaction -- it was. There's only one possible negative I'll point out that is more about pricing -- price of R22 freon recharge seemed very high. I'm not fully aware of what R22 costs these days, but I do know stockpiles are dwindling due to EPA regulations. However, I have compared Supreme Air's price for R22 to what others tell me they've paid to refill R22 recently (within the last month even) and there's a pretty wide gap. I did compare installation and material prices for the XL15i and they seemed in line with what other contractors in the area charge, so no issue there. Just beware the cost of a recharge if you ever need one -- call around and get prices per pound before you have them come out for a service call. Again, we did not get the old system recharged, but the prices were quoted to me as an option. All-in-all I'm verypleased with the job Supreme Air did. We will consider them for repeat business in the future.
Alex, Jeanette and Supreme Air were fantastic! Our AC unit died on Friday, May 4th ahead of the summer temperatures arriving. We initially called another company that we had used previously to repair our 14 year old AC unit. That company came out on Monday as scheduled and determined we needed a new system, and recommended a new furnace as well. They came back to us on Tuesday with a quote for nearly $7800 (minus rebates) for an entry level Trane system. We felt that was too high so we immediately called Supreme Air. Jeannette put us through to Alex and he said he could definitely do better. He offered a far better Trane system at almost $450 less. He said that he would need to come out to inspect the system first before he could sign off. We asked if service could be performed that Friday, yes, just three days after we contacted Supreme Air. They said yes! When Alex cam out on Thursday he took his time to inspect the system and make some recommendations. He even offered another upgrade that after an additional Trane rebate and BGE rebate would be a mere $250 more. The new system would nearly double the capacity of our old system. We said yes. After all the rebates, our final cost was just about $7000, which was still less than the other company. The workers arrived on time on Friday at 8:45 a.m. (they had promised between 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.) and worked diligently until 1:45 p.m. They cleaned up everything, and were extremely courteous while working both inside and outside of our house. They then took the time to explain the new system, operating features, and answered any questions we had. Alex came back two weeks later to do a quality control check and again took his time to inspect everything and make sure that we were completely satisfied with our new system. Considering how stressful it can be do have your HVAC die and know how much it costs to replace it, Supreme Air made it all so easy. We will definitely use them again for all of our HVAC needs.
The HVAC technician was punctual (really came 20 minutes ahead of time). He was professional and welcomed all of my questions as he repaired the system. He explained everything that needed to be done and told me the price of everything before he began. He explained to me the components of my system and provided suggested home care maintenance tips that I should do. This company will be the company of choice that I will select for all repairs or maintenance pertaining to my HVAC system.
Supreme Air did a fantastic job from start to finish. Â One of the owners, Alex, came out to estimate the job and was very thorough. Â He listened to what I was interested in and gave me several options to fit the bill and maximize my BGE rebate. Â Compared to the other dealers in the area, Supreme's product line (Trane) while top tier was also the best value. Â I also had them switch out the water heater. The job was scheduled and performed all in one day as promised. Â A Supreme Air installer (who was both an A/C and plumbing expert) Troy came out and worked very diligently to get the job done, but was also kind enough to pause at times and answer all my questions. Throughout the install I felt I was getting a top notch installation and quality products that will be backed by a very responsible company. Â I haven't had to stress the system just yet (given the install was in early May), but I know that the warranty that came with the product including labor and parts for 10 years has me covered and Supreme will take action if anything were to go wrong. Â It's very comforting to know that Trane and Supreme stand behind their product and install. I would definitely recommend Supreme to others.
They had a special discount for a service. I was satisfied with his service. He was very punctual. He was professional.
My heating and A/C units were not working properly. The owner Alex gave me the estimate of work but more importantly he inspected the work after completion to be sure that all was well. The work was performed on time and without flaw. I have had several Heating and A/C companies do work in my house but none can compare to this company. Highly recommended and will use for all my Heating/AC needs in the future.Â
We had the heat pump system inspected using an Angie's List coupon for $119 in Big Deal list for fall and spring tune-up of A/C and furnace. The technician inspected the system very thoroughly showing me areas of concern and passing on tips for system maintenance. He then listed the recommended repairs and noted that because of the its age (30 years) I may want to consider holding off on repairs and save the money toward a replacement system. I've been noticing a noice when the A/C cuts on that he checked out and tried to address but couldn't pinpoint any functional problems. Personally I thought a tune-up would involve more than just an inspection, but I must admit I am not an expert on these kind of things. I thought the tune-up price could be at least little lower compared to the other deals and for what you get in the end. Other than that, this was a knowledgable technician and good company to work with.
Went like a breeze (see above)
I have never seen workers as conscientious as these guys.
