Reviews
Write a ReviewI contacted several companies thru Angie's List for a replacement estimate after my existing system started freezing up and a topping off of Freon by another company was unsuccessful in remedying the problem. Supreme Air was prompt scheduling the initial consultation and Alex handed me a dual estimate before leaving my house. He was very knowledgeable and explained with great detail all the components that would be replaced under their installation including the connector lines between the heat pump and air exchange. This is a noteworthy part of any estimate, because most of the companies just want to flush the existing lines and update the coolant with a different type coolant. You don't want to mix the older type coolant with the newer type and it's debatable whether flushing will completely clean out the old. Also the pipes themselves might not be up to spec. Supreme replaced them, so they're covered under the system warranty and still came in at a very competitive price, in fact they were still cheaper than most of the competition. The field crew, Troy and Ricardo were extremely professional and considerate from wearing booties while walking thru the house to answering questions and addressing any concerns voiced during the install, while getting the installation done promptly and in a thorough manner. My only knock, which has been addressed, was a failure in communication that lasted from the installation to the final inspection and follow-up email from me. This was the sizing down of a breaker fuse, Alex mentioned at the time of the estimate that was part of the install. The installation crew weren't provided the part, so they noted it on the ticket I signed after the install, so it would be remedied before final inspection. The final inspection was scheduled and I mentioned it again, but Alex was not aware of it when he showed up for the inspection and said he'd have someone come out to swap it out. Close to a couple weeks went by and I emailed them, I received a call of apology and Troy came out within a couple day to swap it out. If you go with a significantly higher efficiency unit, your breaker fuse needs to be sized down so the breaker can be properly thrown to avoid a power surge that could melt wiring etc. Overall, I have no reservations using Supreme Air for a future installation and recommend them to anyone in the market for a new or replacement Heat Pump/Air Exchanger.
The gentleman showed up right in the middle of the time window they provided. We had used this company earlier this year for our Spring tune up as well, and neglected to write a review then (shame on me!). They are courteous, professional, they do the job, and they leave. They do not engage in pushy sales tactics, and both times they've remarked that we'll likely need new furnace in the next couple of years, but told us we should wait until the current one stops working. I love being given unbiased information that's not accompanied by a hard sell or intimidation. When it comes time for a new furnace, I will use this company for sure, as I value professionalism and integrity highly, and feel that I've been dealt with fairly by this company.
Great basic service. The service provider was polite and professional on the phone to schedule the visit, and the service tech was prompt an informative. The original Angie's List deal was for a simple furnace inspection, but he offered his company's deal for service when I asked about cleaning. Great service all the way around.
They were fine. They came out and fixed it; did what I needed. I would definitely recommmend.
I felt like they were telling us everything was wrong so we would buy things from them. I didn't like that.
My Tenant at the property reported that it went fine: on time, full inspection, assessment, and recommendations. System is old, but serviceable.
Everything worked fine. My heater worked fine all winter.
They showed up on time, inspected, and told me of some recommendations. The only problem had to do with the ability to fully access all parts of my furnace, as my appliances are VERY old, and their form and the way they were installed makes it impossible to inspect important parts.
Our very old compressor died during the big "derecho" storm that hit at the end of June. This was also during the heat wave, where it was over 100 every day for several weeks. I say this because we have an infant daugter and not having air conditioning was an emergency situation for us. I called on a Saturday afternoon and Supreme Air came out first thing the following Monday to give me an estimate. The salesman (Rob) was very professional and knew what he was talking about. He took a look at our old system and the duct work and gave us an estimate. We have a row house with a very small back yard, so I wanted the compressor to be put on the roof. Rob said they could do it and the fee charged to run copper tubing all the way up there was very reasonable. He gave me a recommendation for a system (Trane) and left me to talk it over with my wife. He was not pushy at all. After reviewing the proposal and the recommended system, I decided that the one proposed was probably a little more high-end than I needed, so I asked Rob for a propsal for the next level down. He was totally fine with that and didn't try to pressure me into buying the more expensive unit. After settling on a price for the system, Rob discovered that the unit I wanted was not available. He ended up recommending a Carrier system at the same level and worked with me to make sure I got the maximum rebates from BGE. There was some duct work that was sub par and he had his guys fix it for not charge. Given the emergency situation we were in, Rob arranged for our installation to be expedited. The workers who came to install the system were great. They showed up on time and stayed until nearly 9 PM getting it installed. (I think putting the compressor on the roof took longer than expected). They cleaned up everything before they left. All in all a very professional job. I highly recommend this company if you need new AC.
I definitively recommand this company. We dealt with Rob for the estimate, he is very nice and knowledgeable and the secretary Janet at the office is vey nice. Everything went really smoothly and we appreciated their nice touch: sending us cookies to thank us for doing business with them, you don't see that too often these days.
