After searching and comparing prospects on Angie's List and visiting several websites, including www.supremeairllc.com, I chose Supreme Air based upon Angie's list ratings, price, and estimated time to repair.  On the phone I told them the AC blower motor was not running and I gave them the make and model of the furnace and the part numbers for the blower and for the motor. The repairman arrived reasonably promptly at the appointed time in a truck with Supreme Air lettering.  It took him 10 or 15 minutes to acknowledge that the blower motor was not working and was drawing a high current when locked up shortly [a few seconds] after being turned on.  It took him another 10-15 minutes to get the blower out of the furnace whereupon he took the blower out to the driveway near his truck. After looking at the blower for a bit he said he had a Universal Motor that would be a suitable replacement but that he would need to go for an adapter.  He was gone for about 20-30 minutes. The next thing I knew he was loudly banging on the end of the shaft of the motor with a heavy hammer and a small punch.  Then he asked me if I had a 2x4 he could use.  I asked him why he did not use a hub puller.  He said that wouldn't do but could I find a block of wood he could use.  I had nothing better than a rough 2x2 that had been used as a garden stake of which I had several.  He beat on these, splitting and breaking several in the process.  I asked him several times to get the proper tool or to take the blower to his shop where there must be a better way.  He was on his cell phone several times but I had no idea what calls he was making.  I finally asked him to  put things back the way he had found them.  That took him well over a half hour. Here is his Description of Work on the Work Order: "1) Attempted to replace blower motor but was unable, blower wheel was found stuck to shaft.  2) Putted [sic] everything back together the way it was when I came to house." Here is the Professional Recommendations he wrote on the Work Order: "To upgrade to new furnace and A/C" The price range he gave me for a replacement furnace and A/C was at the high end of what I thought I had seen on HVAC web sites in then recent days. During a week or so following this indecent I got several phone calls from Supreme Air requesting a time for someone to come and price out a replacement furnace and A/C.  I had to be very firm that I would not be doing business with Supreme Air before these call stopped.

Overall the company was curteous, on time and easy to schedule.  The service provided wasn't worth the money I paid, though and I would strongly advise others to not bother.  Spend the money on having someone do a tune up for you.  Having said that, I find the advertisng for this type of service misleading.  I thought I was purchasing a tune up.  I was wrong, and the fine print and advertising is ambiguous enough that I can't really say I was lied to.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. We were happy with them. We bought the deal online and before we had the chance to call them to set up a time, they actually contacted us. They were proactive about reaching out to us which we thought was very nice and because it shows initiative on my side. We really like that. The person they sent was extremely courteous.They weren't particularly cheap but they were fine. They were certainly comparable to the others that we found online. Our A/C seems to be in good shape. I assume they did a decent job but I can't really judge it.

From my first contact with the office at Supreme Aire, I was pleased with the treatment and response I got.  An appointment was arranged very quickly and they were most pleasant and understood that I had two separate issues I was trying to accomplish.  In locating a company on Angie's List, to service my A/C problem, I found the "deal" for preventive maintenance.  I was anxious to get my service working again since the temperature and humidity had begun to rise, but was also hoping not to spend an extra service fee for the repair issue.  She explained exactly how I would be charged if the serviceman would have to order a part and return or if he didn't have time on the first visit to do the maintenance work.  It seemed reasonable to me.  I was very happy with both the office response and Ricardo who worked quickly and efficiently, answered all my questions and was very pleasant.
