I had serious issues requiring troubleshooting a recurring short-circuit after a major remodel. I did not want to call an electrician because of the cost, but finally had no choice. i was surprised at the efficient manner that the problem was resolved and also the expense. Prepping for the worst ($500), i was shocked at the mere $75 charged. Why did i wait so long? A huge thumbs up!

Response from Company:

We are glad you did call! Many times people will attempt to save hundreds of dollars by using family or friends who tell you they can do the work. Many times, we are called out to fix what these 'handy-people' have done. Sometimes their repairs are even dangerous since they lack proper knowledge & safety procedures. Thank you for being safe and smart by calling professionals to do the job right. Please keep us in mind for your future plumbing, heating and cooling needs too!

I got stuck with a MAJOR MESS when we just purchased this house. WHY did not the inspector catch this? Was he a moron? Was it the sellers? Did they try being their own "handyman" and screw up everything so that I ended up having to have 2 other major things fixed besides what I hired the electrician for. We had to finance this and cannot afford it! It should have been the sellers who should pay for the extra very important things that the electrician fixed because we are paying over $1000 out of our own pocket -- money we do NOT have and do NOT make, as we only receive disability.

Response from Company:

We are sorry that you have had a bad experience with the recent purchase of your new home. Although The Service Professor wasn't there for you during the purchase, you did make the right choice in hiring our professional electrician who spotted the hazards in your home before an accident happened! Please rest assured we will fix those items and make it possible for you to enjoy your home safely for years to come! Thank you for sharing your home purchase story with other homeowners and know we'll be here for you to make things right for electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling system service, repair and installations.

I was not happy with the service.

Response from Company:

We resolved this issue with the customer. His actual complaint was that our technician spent too much time telling him about our Professor Home Protection Plan which covers electric, plumbing, heating and cooling repairs and installations and free annual evaluations of each system. The customer was reminded that we do not charge work by the hour. We use up-front pricing which means the price quoted before the work is the price he pays when we complete the job. Although this customer stated he would edit his review, we've added this reply because it hasn't been altered in the agreed upon time.

Need to come back and replace the part below the faucet on the tub for the drain. I know they are very busy but would of liked a call when he might be able to come back. Also I think it would be nice to get a call the next day after a job is done to make sure the customer is satisfied. Other that this he was very nice and did a great job!

Response from Company:

We hope you were able to have your technician return to the home and finish the work started. Everyone here at The Service Professor strive to make customer satisfaction our top priority. Also, our skilled technicians do notify the dispatcher when they have completed work and are going to their next appointment. You should have received a call almost immediately after the technician left your home. We are glad that you were satisfied with the overall work completed during the appointment and look forward to coming back if you have any plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling needs. Thank you again for allowing us to care for your home.

The only reason I give a 4.5 is that I had the service scheduled for a Tuesday morning - the CSR called after the expected arrival time to advise that the electrician was unexpectedly delayed on his previous call and had to reschedule for the following day. I understand that things happen - and the ultimate repair service was excellent. Overall - NEARLY perfect and I'm very pleased.

Response from Company:

Thank you for the review Doug. We are sorry for the delay in getting out to you on that service call. Winter always means our professionals have to brave harsh driving conditions, dangerous calls dealing with down power lines and similar emergency calls. I'm sure the customer before you appreciated the extended service time to have their repairs completed, and would probably like to thank you as well.

I had what I thought would be a simple repair. Through no fault of the Service Professor, it turned out to be a much bigger project. The customer service was SUPERB and I was very happy with the professional that came to my house - just disappointed I wasn't truly able to complete the repair.

Response from Company:

Thank you Sue for your review. You are not alone in thinking a repair will be "simple." We hope you are able to have our plumber return when you are able to have your service work completed. Thank you for contacting us with your plumbing need and you can be assured that if you ever need our electrical, heating or cooling services in the future, our technician's in these areas are equally skilled and provide the same great customer service!

Very tough water heater install. Plumber had to cut out the old unit and unit that I had purchased from store was much taller. Plumber had to do a retro fit and re-route the supply lines. He earned his money on this job.

Response from Company:

Thank you Taylor for letting us be of service and for the great review on the service you received. Your plumber is a wonderful guy and glad he is part of our team. Thank you for your patronage!

Extremely expensive. Even a small outlet job ended up with a change and increase in price. I was not happy. If I wouldn't have needed it done ASAP, I would have told the electrician to leave. I have never heard of spending so much on one outlet. I thought it was insane. Never again.
