Groundworks

The salesmen came out and measured the area and gave a price for each component we wanted.Set up a date to install.Did Pre install walk through. Put up dust protection upstairs,where they would be walking,also draped plastic over area that was not getting any workThey had to install a couple of electric plugs for the new sump pump. (which is two sump pumps with a battery backup that doesn't lose it's charge ) which is good because our sump pump runs all the time..They did clean up which could have been better

Overall I was very satisfied with this company.  Dale came to my house and inspected the problem that I had described to him.  this included him going into the crawl space and investigating the problems and possible solutions.  He took photos of all of his findings and went over everything with me very methodically.   We discussed all of my options and laid out a plan and scheduled a date to have the work done.  Ryan showed up with his crew on time and was very professional.  We did a pre-work walk through and a post walk through as well.  One part of the job consisted of sealing the bond on the basement portion part of my home with spray foam insulation and R-30 as well. The major  portion of the job took place in the crawl space where the same spray foam and R-30 was used on the bond.  Also, two joists were sistered to help stabilize the cracks that had occurred from the moisture over the years.  Ryan and his crew also bagged up all of the nasty insulation and garbage that had fallen from in between the joist and even took it to the curb for me.  Silverglo was applied to all of the walls in the crawl space and the floor was lined with the Vaporloc Elite and sealed with the double sided tape.  A new everlast door was installed to replace my 1/2 inch plywood door as well.   I could not have been more impressed with the clean up job that the crew did as well. Overall I would and will recommend this company many times over

I am writing to angies list becouse of the fantastic work done on my home. Late in Nove 2012 we had our crawl space encapsulated. The house floors are warmer and nolonger have a musty smell that seeped in. The office personnel and salesman were very .professional . The crew showed up on time and were done in a few hours. They cleaned up there mess and even reatached my dryer vent for me. I would highly recommend their services    Sencerely   Barb Ginther

The project was performed & completed as promised

We had water coming in our basement through the floors and sump pump problems for a couple of years. We decided to have the promblem fixed and fixed correctly. We were impressed with FSM from the first phone call. FSM was an excellent choice. This is a professional company from the office staff to the inspector and crew. We had other estimates but FSM was very competitive in pricing, professionalism and promptness. We would highly recommend this company.

The company put in a complete days work every day. They also explained any questions I had while they were there. They estimated four days but were able to complete the project in three. I didn't have any foundation plantings so they didn't have to work around that. I wasn't planning on being there all three days, but someone should be available because they need to go inside to make sure they aren't disrupting the interior of your home. They worked around any appointments I had.

The crew should up on time, was very polite and professional.  Installation went smooth.  They answered all of my questions, cleaned up well, and were gone within a few hours of showing up.   I did have a few follow up questions after the installation was complete.  Each time I called, I was connected to a technician who took the time to answer all of my questions and discuss specifics of the system they installed.    Before hiring Foundation Systems of Michigan, I had different waterproofing contractors out on 2 separate occasions to address issues I was having.  In each case, I was not satisfied with their level of work or their customer service.  I decided to join Angie's List and find a reputable company and be done with this issue once and for all.  Foundation Systems of Michigan comes highly recommended by Angie's List members and there is a good reason why.  They do good work and seem to stand behind what they do.  In my experience, that is not something you find with most contractors today.  If you are in need of a waterproofing contractor, do yourself a favor and hire Foundation Systems of Michigan.  I highly recommend them.

Ryan and his crew did a great job.  They cleaned out the crawl space of all the old debris and insulation.  Ryan walked me through the job as it was going on and showed me everything that they were doing as the work was progressing.  The entire crew was very professional and polite.  GREAT CLEAN UP JOB!!  I am very happy with the work that was done. I would definitely use Foundation Systems of Michigan again and highly recommend them to others.

Three workers arrived at 8:30 am and finished at 4:45 pm. They did take pictures before and after.

We were very nervous about having the work done but FSM did a fantastic job!  The joist is secure, the house is much warmer, and the crawl space is now so nice and clean!  The crew was great - very respectful and professional.  It was expensive, but well worth the cost.
