Nakia, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Please reach out to us if you need anything in the future.
They were excellent!! I had water in my basement and they came the next day. They found a crack in my foundation that was covered by insulation and was able to schedule the repair the next week. They came on time and did exactly what was expected. Workers were great! Very professional, helpful and showed me the repair each step of the way They were also neat and cleaned up after the job was done. 100% recommendation from me!
Joseph, we are grateful for your words about our company. We are glad to hear you were given prompt and courteous service. We aim to treat each homeowner house as our own. Please reach out if you ever need anything in the future.
They are very fast and professional. Will call with any other projects that fits.
Francis, thank you for your kind words about our company. We look forward to any future projects you may contact us about!
Inspector sent to evaluate the project was prompt, professional and explained the process in detail ( had photos) of what they were going to do. The work was able to be scheduled the same week, and completed in one day as promised. The crew was careful to make sure that my household belongings were covered and protected. Work was neat, all debris was removed and work areas cleaned- up. We have had wet weather since the project was done, and have had no issues with water coming into the basement or garage. The downstairs 'musty' smell that has been present since the house was built is GONE! I am very grateful to have this company recommended through HomeAdvisor :)
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We recently had Basement Waterproofing Specialists Inc. do a $13k install of new drain system and sump pump in our basement. We have just had the basement flood and, after investigating why, I discovered it was the installersâ negligence that caused this. When they installed pump, instead of putting it on a dedicated line like they should have (this was info their own engineer confirmed for me as well), they plugged it into an outlet on a light bulb socket and then neglected to check that that outlet worked when lights were off (it did not). As a result of that negligence our basement flooded in this last storm and the flooring as well as several personal items are wrecked. I called company so they could work out us getting it fixed/reimbursed/etc. and was told very rudely over the phone that it is not their problem. "We are not responsible for where it is plugged in." "YOUR basement flooded, and we don't do that work nor will we be reimbursing for any amount." I am appalled at the callousness and complete lack of caring (they did not even say â sorry to hear you had flood). I would like to get the word out to warn people that Basement Waterproofing Specialists Inc do not stand by their work when it is done incorrectly, and that after they have your money, they stop caring about you.
Benjamin, its very unfortunate and we are sorry to hear you got water in the basement after the installation of the system. It is stated on our contract that the homeowner is responsible for having an electrical outlet installed so in your case when one wasnt available, the crew plugged the pump into an existing extension cord that at the time provided power. They wouldve had no way of knowing that this cord lost power when the light was shut off. In addition, you signed off on the customer survey stating that the pump/system was gone over with you and we have a video of the crew leader explaining the function of the pump to you. This would show that as the homeowner you saw where and how the pump was plugged in and perhaps also didn?t know that it would lose power when the switch was shut off. When you called in and spoke with one of our representatives, you increasingly became irate and when he explained that we unfortunately cant be held responsible or liable for the functionality of the electrical in the home, you abruptly ended the call. As mentioned above, our contract states that the homeowner is responsible for the electrical and we always recommend having a dedicated line installed for the pump.
Punctual, tidy and I couldn't believe how much they got done in one day. Very professional and friendly. Would absolutely recommend.
They did an excellent job waterproofing our basement and in a very timely manner. But the price was a bit high
Wilhelmina, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad to hear that our work was up to your satisfaction and was prompt. We strive to provide fair and competitive pricing while ensuring that we deliver the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
The job was done timely. However, it did not solve my problem. My backyard is still just as muddy as it was before, maybe more. There is a constant flow of water coming from the hill behind me and from my neighbors yard. All four properties, including mine, have water-soaked backyards. Now, I have a constant flow of water draining down the front side of my front yard from the outlet, onto the pavement, flowing in front of my neighbors driveway, then down into the street and into the storm drain several yards away. Come winter, this is going to be a dangerously slippery area not only for my neighbor but for pedestrians. At my insistence, East Pennsboro Township did come and survey the issue. It is much more water than they had anticipated, yet there is nothing they can do about it for now. The engineer from the township said there may be an underground spring involved. He is going to return in the fall, once the foliage in the backyard has subsided. He wants to try to determine where the water is coming from. I do not blame the contractor. They did their best to solve the issue. But their best has not been good enough. Sadly, it has cost me $5,000 to find this out! Problem not solved at all but exacerbated.
They did a good job and now we don't get flooding. They did the permits and the only downside I'd say is they didn't cover things so some things got dusty but it was finished in a day. The pipe going out didn't pass inspection so they came back and fixed it and it did when the inspector came back.
Brandon, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are pleased to hear that we were able to effectively address your flooding issue and provide a solution that has resolved the problem. We apologize for any dust that may have accumulated during the project. Our team typically takes measures to minimize dust and clean up after the work is completed. We will be taking notes to make sure we improve this practice going further. Please let us know if you need anything going forward.
They responded quickly. Presented a clear plan to keep our basement dry. They did the work as promised in a timely fashion, and persevered through obstacles (cramped conditions and thick reinforced concrete to hammer through). I'm satisfied.
David, thank you for taking the time to us a review! We are thrilled to hear that despite these conditions, we performed the work satisfactory and professionally. Please let us know if there is anything you may need in the future!
