While preparing our house for a resale I had discovered small bugs in our back yard that very much resembled termites. We immediately called Senate Termite and Pest Control to come and do inspection and treatment if need be. The technician came to the house and recommended that we treat for a live termite infestation. We agreed, as we are by no means pest control experts. We were quoted $1680 but told that the invoice would be sent to the title company to be paid at closing. They said that per standard business practice, they needed a credit card number on file. Although we questioned this practice, we signed the contract and gave them our card number. They came out the following day and treated for a live termite infestation. The report that they sent to our real estate agent, however, concluded that there was neither an inspection performed nor an infestation. After many phone calls and many different responses from various employees (Kevin, Ron, John, and AJ, to name a few) we were finally told that we did not have an active infestation and that we had signed up for a preventative treatment. This is not what was represented to us as consumers. We were misled into believing that we had an active infestation. On top of it, they failed to send an invoice to the title company to be paid at closing and charged the full amount to our bank within 48 hours of work performed.

You agreed and we performed the needed service of a full liquid termite treatment that will protect the residence for years. Senate does not bill realtors as it is not our practice. We leave you with a report to send to the realtors if requested or needed. We deal with the home owner only. We do not refund payment after a service is performed. We at Senate will always strive to do our best to solve your pest issues. The residence is now protected as you requested. Thank you.

Quick response and very profession on the phone. Company did come out. Only critique was they did not notify me when they changed the date due to weather. So was not sure when the new date would be. Would have been nice to know for planning purposes.
