Workers conducted themselves as true professionals and cleaned up after themselves.
It took a while to schedule, due to all the permits. The person I was dealing with was apparently having a personal crisis of some sort, because they started the work and neglected to tell me that the permits weren't complete. They dug up my yard and THEN told me the permits weren't completed. I wouldn't let them complete work without the valid permits, so my yard sat for two months looking like a construction zone. Overall, the quality of work was fine.
We appreciate you entrusting JES with your home repair needs. It’s good to hear you were pleased with the quality of our work. As you mentioned in your review, it can take a while to schedule work given all the necessary permits. We do our best to mitigate possible delays, however, in many instances there are factors that are simply out of our hands. It is never our intention to inconvenience you in any way. Some projects, such as the one at your home, require an independent soil analysis. We are not always able to determine how soon the soil samples will be analyzed because a third party vendor provides this service. Soil tests help us figure out whether the ground can support the weight of your home. Having a third party conduct the soil analysis ensures you receive an objective assessment from qualified experts. We take this extra step for your safety and peace of mind. We hope you will consider using JES in the future. We are constantly reviewing our processes in an effort to create the kind of positive interaction each customer deserves. Thank you for taking time to review our company.
Company showed a lot of respect for me and my property. Super job and relationship with the initial inspector.

They were so busy this summer it took 6 weeks to get on the schedule and then 20 minutes before the scheduled estimate the inspector called and said he had an emergency. My return call to the inspector was not addressed in 4 days. When they finally got back to me and realized I wanted to buy their most expensive service, then the customer service got better. They even had people come out to observe my foundation repair because apparently it was fairly rare, and very pricy. When the work crew showed up to work on the day of the job they asked me where they were supposed to drill to install pylons, they didn't have a properly documented work order and the inspector and job supervisor I was working with was not on site. Not very professional to not know where to drill since they were drilling holes inside into the floor of my house. The peace of mind for me was worth the cost but it was clear from the attention my job got it was rare. The crew attempted to clean up after themselves but I found splattered concrete here and there on the walls over the coming weeks. I would absolutely hire them again since I know I don't have to worry about my foundation anymore and the quality of work was great but would warn anyone else to keep a close eye on the job and keep handy the cell phone number of the supervisor that should be on the job since they won't be on site the whole time.
A family member recommended this company to me. I met the guy who looked at my father’s basement in September for the waterproofing. He wrote a contract. They didn’t do the work until November. At that time, I had to take all the drywall. They scheduled it on a Tuesday, just before Thanksgiving. They came out and started the work. They told me that it would take three days Tuesday and Wednesday. Thanksgiving was Thursday and they would come back Friday to finish it up. It just so happened that Tuesday, there was an eye storm and I couldn’t get down there. While I was talking to the project manager on the phone and the workers came and proceeded to do the work. The next day was Thanksgiving traffic and I couldn’t deal with that but then they told me they were finished. I didn’t go down there because I thought they would be there on Friday. I went down and found out that the job was not completed. They didn’t mention to me that the windows were left open. The windows were not on the same level as the wall. In other words, there was an opening there which had to be filled in. They just left it open like that. They could have told me that they can do it for a certain grade. When they wrote the contract, they said they were going to send it to me because we wanted to settle it and anyway I have the price but we didn’t really itemize everything. I have two sump pumps down there but I said I wanted a back up sump pumps. They put two sump pumps but one is not a back up. They said that it was not in the contract. I told them strictly that I wanted a back up sump pumps. They just gave me a sample of it and that’s all I have. The project manager said that everything was great. This June, I told them I’ll meet them down there so we could go over with the things I thought that they needed to correct. They told me that the manager got another appointment and he could be there at some point of a time. He told me that he was on his way there. He was there waiting for 5 minutes. He never called and went on to his next appointment.  We didn’t get anything resolve. They didn’t return my phone calls either.
Within 24 hours of meeting with Mr. Oldham, I had the promised estimate (which agreed with what he showed me at our appointment when we discussed the problem) and a contract to sign. The scheduler called two days later with proposed dates to accomplish the work. On the day the work was scheduled (which was within two weeks of contacting JES), Juan and his helper arrived early in the morning and got right to work.   Although putting in a water seepage system inside the house is a messy job, they kept the mess to a minimum and were careful with all my furniture/rugs so no collateral damage was incurred. They worked continuously all day, even through lunch time, and stayed late to get the work completed within one day (other companies had said it would take 2-3 days!). Afterwards, Phil contacted his electrician and he arrived within two days to do the required electrical work for the dedicated line needed for the new sump pump. He also recommended a Handyman to help me put the basement back together after all his work was completed. Without this additional assistance, I would have been a lot longer in getting this problem fixed and the basement back together again afterwards. I highly recommend working with JES (especially Phil) but hope I have no further need of this kind of service in the future!
Thank you so much for your A rating on Angie's list! We strive for 100% satisfaction on all jobs. Its great when we're recognized for a job well done! Glad we could help you resolve your home's issues!
