I am posting this on behalf of my mother. She had JES encapsulate her house back in 2009. She has limited mobility and trusted their judgement since she cannot get under the crawlspace to look at any issues. They encapsulated it and said it was all fine. $9000. Apparently, the insulation was left in during the encapsulation and was moldy. She had no idea. Fast forward to 2015. JES goes under the house to look at the foundation and puts a jack up on the house to stabilize things. $2000. No mention of mold. 2017, JES goes back under to inspect and says everything looks good, but she needs a new dehumidifier. $1800. She pays that too. No mention of mold. This week, she has water damage to the house due to a different mishap and the restoration company goes under the house the next day to look. They show her pictures of moldy insulation that has been there for a long time. Obviously, she is upset that on top of the latest issue at her house, somebody didn't do the work that needed to be done and told her it was fine for years. She has to explain to the insurance company why moldy insulation is under the house when she had no clue and thought it was handled. JES representatives told her on the phone that she never paid for the removal and it would not be remedied. They will not be doing anything. Her response was that if someone had told her in the first place, of course she would have had it removed. She is so frustrated that she was in tears a couple times. An older lady with limited mobility just can't get under and look herself to see if it is done right. If you use this company, please verify that they are handling the problem completely.
