Write a ReviewFor over 4 years, 14 visits, destroying my flower beds and our basement still got water. I mentioned numerous times about bringing a transit out as the water was backing up,...when it rain the water came out of the drains we put in when the foundation was put in but not their drains that was above the foundation drain. We are on a hillside and one cannot eyeball the drains, they should of bought out a transit. But they kept blowing me off, if it was because I was a female I am not sure. One time the so call boss even got smart with me and yelled at me when I mentioned it has been over 12 times and they need to bring out a transit to make sure the water was running away from the house. We ended up having new drains put in with someone else. Big waste of money.
We received a somewhat high-pressure sales pitch after seeing them highly recommended. We do not ever have standing water in our basement but get a little moisture here and there, so I was not in a huge hurry to get this done, but I did also wanted to seal up the walls to help prevent mice from getting in. What the salesperson promised me, as far as expectations of the work they would do, was enough to get me to sign on as a fill-in job at a lower rate. I signed the contract in August and was told they would brush out any loose mortar and fill in any big gaps between stones in my stone and mortar foundation. They told me that, as a fill-in, I would most likely have the work done before October, November at the latest. They insisted on installing the EZ Breathe vent right away, even though there were clearly big gaps under my porch, which would just draw in the outside air, so we never run it. October came and went. So did November December, without a whisper from them. Then I got a call in January, a day or two before the end of the window on my contract for when the work is expected to be complete. They want to do a test break of the concrete on the floor of my basement. No other info is given, like when they might be starting. I tell them I want to delay things until Spring, because I do not want them in and out and my pipes exposed, due to the cold. They send me a new contract to sign, so I begrudgingly sign it. It was my first opportunity to get out and I regret not doing so. We reschedule for March. Then COVID hits, and I finally get a call saying that they have to reschedule me for July, AND I have to sign a new contract AGAIN... Again, an opportunity I should have taken to walk away. Shortly before work is supposed to start, I get a call that they are behind schedule and have to push it to August. So now, a week shy of 1 year, they call and say that instead of sending a foreman out the Friday before, so that they can go over my concerns and how they will do the install, they tell me that the foreman will show up with the crew on Tuesday. *Sigh* Fine... Let just get this over with. Tuesday comes and the crew shows up with no foreman. I am told the guy that walked me through things has a good experience, and that the owner trusts him, but that is not the best person to tell me that they think they need to out 2 sump pumps in, but they need to check with the foreman and that they want to get started right away without him. Said he would be there the next day. So, they want to start work without a plan... Another red flag. Should have told them, no, but this is my first major hire of a contractor, so I let them start breaking up the floor inside. Foreman shows up at noon the same day. Says he agrees that 2 pumps are necessary, I express my concern, he says he will check with a production manager and let me know the next day. The next day he verifies 2 pumps, no cost to me. I discuss other issues, he says they do not fill cracks unless they can see someone on the other side of the wall. I call the office and complain. The owner makes a trip out, we discuss the issues. He tells him to fix them, tells foreman to take pictures. I feel better. I have to remind the foreman of things, pictures of problem areas were not taken before they hung encapsulation. Sounds like they did not address some of my major concerns. At that point, I was fed up and just wanted them to finish and leave. Gave me a free warranty extension for my troubles. The crew worked hard but was messy. Had to point out cigarette butts and garbage they left on my lawn. Still ended up finding a sweatshirt and red bull can in my basement... Not as bad as some stories I have heard, but it is not that hard to clean up after yourself. Would have left a pickaxe here if I did not remind them to take it. My credit was checked 4 times before the job was done.
They came on time, worked like beavers, finished early. There were a couple of bobbles, caused by lack of experience on the part of the job foreman, which were fixed the next day. Overall, we are extremely satisfied.
We had a terrible experience. They have a high pressure sales pitch and terrible work. I had to fire them and hire another contractor to repair the damage they did. They are the worst experience I ever had with home improvement. Do not hire them!

Botched job in basement and outside. They show you one material and then they put another saying it is better. They put crawl space plastic on my basement walls instead of the vinyl. There was no price reduction on the product. The spout that releases the water outside is too close to my house ruining my yard. They said they will connect so it can flow into the sewer, that is a lie. The drain popping they used was different then what the salesman said. They installed the air purifier in my an old basin well I had said that is the best place they can find because the machine can not go near a window or a door so I still smell basement and it is more dusty than before, and there is still moisture in the air causing fungus to grow worse than before they came.
I am VERY satisfied with Everdry. My formerly-wet basement is now dry. Service is also excellent.
James,Thank you for the positive review! We appreciate your kind words and we are pleased that you have had the opportunity to experience a dry basement and excellent service we have become known for.Thank you, Everdry Waterproofing of Upstate NY.
Everdry did an excellent job, from the contact people in the office, to the workers doing the job. During this pandemic in our country, we were a little nervous about having people in and out. The men that worked at our house were totally professional. They were kind, considerate, so hard-working and very polite. They also respected the "Social Distancing". Every one of them cleaned up after themselves. They had to tear our cellar up, as well as my lawn and gardens. Everything was put back into place and cleaned up. I really thought I would have to spend all summer cleaning up a mess. This was not the case. I can't thank them enough. I can't speak for every crew they send out, but I can say that I would recommend this crew to anyone!! One thing I would recommend is to be sure to read your contract before signing it. We did not, and it did cause a few issues. That being said, it was our fault, not the company's. It's now been a few weeks since the job was completed and no problems. Thank you Everdry.
Esther,I would like to extend on behalf of our entire organization our gratitude for choosing us. Your comments regarding our business are most appreciated. We are thrilled that you feel led to share your comments with fellow consumers. Thank you.Best Regards,Everdry Waterproofing of Upstate NY.
Workers were very respectful, most questions were answered on the stop or were quickly passed to one who could answer.
Lucille,Thank you for your specific praise about our business. Please never hesitate to let us know how we can even better serve you....including what we need to do to get a 5 star rating from you. Best Regards,Everdry Waterproofing of Upstate NY.
