I highly recommend Everdry. Our house was build in 1940 and although the leaking in the basement was not exactly serious, it was substantial. We discovered that, due to our cinderblock foundation, standing water was actually resting in the blocks and causing mold development we could not even see. Everdry performed a service both interior and exterior including a tar covering outside and an interior drainage system leading to a heavy duty sump pump. All the water that would normally be collecting outside the house and applying pressure to our foundation is now drained away from the house.
I have had Everdry for almost 20 years. I called them because our tri-level house had heavy water entry into the lower level after some severe rains. Before I called them, the house also had termites and a musty odor in the lower level. After they fixed the water issue, our basement has been dry and odor free. Except for one instance of termites a couple of years after they fixed the water entry problem, we have been termite free also. They were very thorough in fixing the problems both inside and outside the house. I recommend Everdry to anyone who has a water entry problem.
This company stands behind their work. They truly saved our basement. We could not be more please with the work and service.
I would highly recommend their service
Initial designs landed the outflow of the sump in the middle of the front yard, which caused retrenching to be required to send the flow to a place that didn't destroy the front yard and look of the property. Inside work was done very well - the plan was the only problem I had. Cost was high - but warranty gives piece of mind and justifies the cost to some degree.
They did a good job and our basement has not flooded in the past several years.
very messy and left our house a real mess
I recently had my house waterproofed by Everdry (they finished on April 11, 2012). Yesterday it rained and rained hard all day. For the first time in several years I can go downstairs to my utility room and smile rather than lay towels, mop up water, and move furniture and carpets out of the way. The crew that came to my house finished the job in about 2.5 days. Considering the amount of backed up water there was and how much rock had to be hauled they made excellent time. The foreman was a great communicator. He walked us around and explained what he was doing, answered all of our questions, and took the time at the end of the day to explain what they had done, how far along they were, and when they would be there the next day. All of the crew, foreman included, worked very hard. The digging, the hauling of rock, and the whole operation was accomplished with speed and precision. Noticeably absent from this process were people leaning on their shovels, talking on their phones, or messing around. I am celebrating dryness this morning!
It took 5 days to do 2 sides of foundation and the basement. The forman and workers were polite, keeping me informed of the progress. But the project created a huge mess in my kitchen and laundry room. They did put plastic down and removed it daily. But they couldn't keep the concrete dust from rising out of the basement. That was a huge unsanitary mess in my kitchen. Someone put a huge gash in the top of our porch timbers, my metal brass whirly gig got broke of my porch and my deep freezer got unplugged at the end of the project. Costing me $174 worth of spoiled food. Dont know if they'll replace. Heard lots of bickering. Professional??
