Fantastic! Everyone at B. Griffith was really wonderful to work with! Brent (the owner) came out to do our estimate, and personally spoke with me on several occasions reviewing the estimate, explaining what was included, and how the process worked (as this was our first time buying a new roof!). The ladies in the office were helpful and friendly. We had one small billing snafu, where we were charged for something Brent had explained as being included - but the ladies in the office corrected it immediately, as well as explained why that had happened. The on-site crews were friendly and respectful. The foreman knocked on the door in the morning to introduce himself and let us know they were about to get started - and to make sure we didn't need to get cars out of the garage before they parked their trailer. The install crew invited my husband up onto the roof to walk him through everything they'd done that day and go over any questions he might have. Cleanup was fantastic from both demo and install crews - I think we found maybe one solitary nail left behind. We had a significant amount of wood that needed to be replaced, as our previous tile roof was 40 years old. The crew took photos of their work throughout the course of the job, documenting the old roof/wood and demonstrating why it needed to be replaced. Our cost was a bit higher than the original estimate, but we feel comfortable knowing exactly why and where each extra dollar was spent. We honestly knew that with the age of the roof, we'd have to replace SOME of the wood anyway, so this wasn't a crazy surprise. Overall everyone at B Griffith was friendly, helpful, and patient with us as we asked plenty of questions throughout the process. We felt valued as customers and that we were treated with the utmost respect. I feel comfortable saying that the quality of the product and workmanship aligns with the excellent customer service we received. They might not have been the cheapest option out there, but they were priced competitively and well, you get what you pay for: high quality standards and great service.
With this complicated low pitched roof that I have here in St. Petersburg fl. I decided to go with a metal interlocking system on the pitched part of roof and for the flat areas we went with a product called T.P.O.. I am very excited to see how much I save on my energy bill this summer. I think I got a great deal on the quote for the metal inter-locking system because it is custom manufactured here in St. Petersburg. Brent is the owner and operator/forman. very nice family owned business.

Horrible. A true ordeal. The original estimate was $4,050 and they added on an additional $735. I live in a townhome and this price is for my half of the roof. I feel bad because I got my neighbor to use him at the same time and he was also charged an additional $735. I don't understand why the additional boards were necessary since neither side ever had a leak. I don't understand why I had to send so many emails to procure final inspections to close out the open permits. They informed me that the problem with the permit was my fault. I am trying to sell my home and cannot do that with an open permit. They had told me that it was closed but it is not. This had caused an issue for me in my home selling process. Luckily all is good with that now.
Member contacted us to provide an estimate for her and her neighbor's roofing needs. She explained her need of needing to sell her home due to her illness and Brent was kind enough to try and expedite the process for her. She delayed the process from the beginning by refusing to provide a copy of the driver's license for both parties which was needed for us to legally notarize the required forms.Once we received the information, we followed the protocal for permitting requirements but unfortunately due to the delay in the beginning this prolonged the permitting aspect in obtaining final inspections and closing the permit. We received a release of lien from her title company which we informed them we could not issue until payment had been received in full. Member notified us at one time that she had missed the mailman and would mail our check out the next day. A week later, she notified us she had she found our check in her purse and had forgotten to mail our payment but she would do so immediately, which we then informed her until we received her payment in full we could not provide the release of lien to her title company. Upon receiving her check, she only paid the roofing portion and did not pay the additional wood work charges incurred on her job. When we called to get status of payment for the woodwork, she claimed she should not have to pay any of it even though we had already included some free wood replacement that was included in her contract. It was explained to her in detail that we do not go over any type of bad or rotted wood and that we replace it to prevent in future problems. We also forwarded her signed proposal to her outlining her acceptance of the additional wood work charges, the free wood replacement she was given and a copy of her invoice showing the wood that was replaced. She then provided a credit card to pay for the additional wood claiming "we had her over a barrell" due to her selling her home. We were only trying to get paid for the work that was done on her job and rightfully due to us, nothing more. Her neighbor had already paid his bill in full including all wood work charges with no questions asked before his job had even received the final inspection so he obviously was happy with his job. We are sorry that she is unhappy about the process of the job due to her unwillingness to cooperate and provide required documents from the beginning therefore prolonging her process of selling her home. If she would have done what was asked from the very beginning it would have been a much smoother process. This was very much an ordeal for our company as well.

Brent and his team did a great job. I bought an older home in Seminole, and my flat roof was in desperate need of replacing. I have a balcony on the front of my house that needed a "walkable" surface installed as well. Brent and his team were punctual, and did a great job of cleaning the job site after each day. My roof needed a lot of clean-up when it was ripped off, as there was a good amount of water damage underneath. His team replaced plywood as necessary, and ripped off two layers of roofing on the back side of my house (that room is SO much cooler now). They pitched the flat roof just enough so water will drain off, and installed hydro-stop on the balcony. We decided that the color of the hydro-stop isn't going to work and he has offered to replace that part free of charge to make the job complete. For an extra fee, a few of his workers helped my contractor with a few other small projects that needed extra hands. All workers from the company were cordial and hard-working. I will be having Brent install a solar roof/attic fan soon to help vent my attic (I highly recommend that if you live in Florida). The estimate given is very competitive and I am confident that the work will be top-notch. Thank you Brent and team!
