Write a ReviewFound B Griffith etx Angies List in their reputation. Good workers-on time-polite-hind I was very pleased owner was very informative, polite and helpful.
It was a very positive experience. They had a guy come out, he was very friendly, he explained everything. He was nice, his workers were nice, they were polite, clean and did they work. It was a very pleasant experience. I'm very pleased with them. If I had a question I just made a call. He showed up like he said, and they were all very professional.
great all around
Meeting with the office manager, discussing the job was pleasant enough. Had to go to the office three times, due to a truck delivering material completely blocking the entrance. In discussing the contact with the office manager, who also did the notary?, we questioned the part about extras. We were told this would be discussed with us on site if it was needed. . Her wording was " we don't know what your roof needs to we get started, are either of you guys going to be there while the work is being done? We said we should be there, but if we leave we would make sure the foreman knew how to get in touch with us." This satisfied the office person and us. We had looked up reviews on this company and talked with neighbors who had used them as well. We had several proposals Even though some of the proposals were cheaper, we like the way this company laid out what they would do and the material they would use. When the workers arrived, they were very nice and respectable to us and our property. They were at our home for several days and always helpful, cleaned up before they left, and worked hard. We were home every day they work and talked with them often. We were told the roof was in good shape and the only problem was the nails. When we left we would ask if they needed anything, how was things going, and to please call us if there were any concerns. On the last day we were leaving and would not be back before they left. We asked the foreman how things went and was there any extras or problems. He said we had a good roof and he did not see any problems. We asked him if we needed to leave a check. He said the office would get in touch with us the following week. When we returned home we were very please with the look, the clean up, the roof, and the workers. On Monday I received the bill and it was almost a $1000 more than the contract. I called the office at 3 pm and received no answer, but left a message. The office manager, no name given, returned my call after 4 pm. She started right off telling me all the problems our roof had and the work that was done. I listened, even though I had company, which she didn't give me a chance to tell her, then I said that the worker said we had a good roof with no real problem. She then said and my company could hear her, she said wait, you just wait, our worker did not say that and they do not say anything to you. I then ask her about saying it would be discussed with us if extras were needed. Again she said, you stop, that was never said, we don't know how much work your roof will need until work it is started. (the last part was stated before). I then said hold on I don't like the way you are talking to me or your attitude. She said she didn't have an attitude and we owed the money. She continue to say she would set up a payment plan for us to pay the extra money. My company was astounded as they said I didn't say anything about not paying or needing a payment plan. I then told her we would talk later, in which she said "have your husband call me and I will discuss this with him, then she hung up! No, we appreciate your business, we will be glad to go over the report the workers turned in, or even go to H! She hung up! This is such a bad customer service company. Again the work, the workers, all great, but the customer service makes me give this company a F. In today, a lot of company are pricing their work to be competitive. What sells customers are the service, the work, and the review. I hope Brent looks at this review and realizes his company will loss business due to his customer service. Please do not use this company as they are good workers, but they are not trustworthy. This problem has not been resolved. If and when this is resolved I will continue this review as I want to give this company a fair chance to prove me wrong.
Brent and his team did an outstanding job. They stand behind their work 100%. I am very pleased with their responsiveness and professionalism and would hire them again if I had it to do over again. My roof, fascia, gutters and soffit look fantastic. I am a hard person to please and they made me happy! Thank you Brent!
very well. workers were prompt and worked until 8 pm. clean up was very good. inspector said it was a good job. since i cannot climb a ladder i can only rely on the inspector's word
It took them an entire month to put on a new roof because they were back several, several times. One of the things we dealt with is that it was a different person every single day they came out to work on the house, it was not the same crew. One day there would be three guys out working, and the next day it would be three different guys and they would have no idea what they guys did the day before; some days they didn't even show up. As far as pricing, they were right in the ballpark as everyone else, it is one of the reasons we picked them, along with the fact that they could begin before other providers. We had to have them replace the whole front of the house because they walked on it so many times that they wore all the sand off the shingles. We are in Florida and we have solar fans on the house. We had the solar fans put on. They cut a hole in our roof and put a solar fan on right about the addition upstairs. It was right against nothing and they didn't move it down, the guys just installed it anyway. I heard it and  I actually had to go up on the roof myself and take the cover off the fan to see what was going on. It was sucking insulation out of the attic. I had to have them come out and they had to rip it off the roof, rip all the shingles off, and move it six feet down the roof line. It took them another two weeks to get done. When they told me they were done I went up  to inspect it; they didn't do a couple of the eaves, they didn't finish them right. They got the roof done and hope fully we don't have any issues with it. I definitely would not recommend them. We are going to turn them in to the Better Business Bureau. My biggest fear is that they're not going to be around to do any warranty work.
We knew of no issues with this customer and have numerous emails back and forth where they were being very polite and asking numerous favors. Have no ideal why after roofing project was completed, they would write a negative review like this. Totally flabbergasted and in awe about this report???!!!!!
The re-roof went very well overall, the owner, Brent Griffith fit me into their schedule and communicated with me throughout the project. It wasn't until the job was complete that I had a problem. The second crew got a late start on our roof, and they were still there with their truck parked up against our garage door when our painter arrived to paint the house exterior. The painter told me in the morning that he could not finish the garage door until the truck was gone. When I took pictures of my house a few days after the painter and roofers were finished to list it for sale, I noticed a dent in my garage door in the same location where the roofing crew's truck had been. I called B Griffith Roofing, explained the situation, and asked them to check with their crews to see if they dented the door. Weeks later, I had heard nothing from B Griffith, so I sent a reminder email. B Griffith responded by sending me an email denying having a truck near my house (which they did for several days) and suggesting the painter was the one who dented the door, covered it up with paint, and was attempting to blame B Griffith. I would have appreciated a returned phone call and some honest consideration of the facts to assess whether the B Griffith truck I saw parked inches from my garage door caused the dent. If they can't even admit they had a truck parked in my driveway, I cannot trust them to own the simple error of denting the garage door if they were responsible.
This is not how this was responded to. In his initial email about the garage door, he basically was saying his painter was pointing the fingers at us and yet, my response was"why would a painter paint over a dent unless he was trying to cover it?" Our guys never said they didn't have a truck parked in the driveway - they said they did not park too close to the garage door. I explained this to [Member name] that this came from one of the laborers and that I would ask the main crew leader about this situation. He immediately responded being very defensive or offensive whichever way you would like to take it, against our company and basically stating, without proof, that he felt it was our company and not his painter - and yet he wasn't even around when it happened. We bent over backwards for this guy even fitting him in the schedule earlier than he was supposed to be due to him wanting to sell his home. After this last email, I didn't pursue it with the head crew member because he already stated he felt our crew was being "dishonest" - which is totally an unfair opinion especially when he didn't have all the facts nor any proof it was us and not his painter. I realize he said he wasn't looking for any damage compensation so this all boils down to he automatically assumed a bad opinion against our guys and not even considering it could have been his own painter, but I wasn't going to waste my time knowing it wasn't going to change his opinion anyways. So sorry it ended like this as we are a very professional company that does quality work and any other time if any mishap ever occurred, our crews ALWAYS have reported them to us immediately - so I still stand behind my opinion that is possibly wasn't our crew. The customer still got a quality roof and we still are proud of our workmanship!!
We would use them again. We have been using him for several years and we got him through Angie’s List.
They were exceptionally good! Crew was very punctual, very polite and soft spoken, didn't play loud music. They cleaned up after themselves. They finished a week late only because it was around Thanksgiving and they couldn't receive parts in time.
