Write a ReviewMr. Griffith came out to look at my roof. I had a leak in one area of the roof. My roof is 15 years old but he said he thought it didn't need replacing yet and he could do a patch. He had 2 men at home 2 days later. They arrived between 8:30 and 9:00 and were finished by noon when I arrived back home. They cleaned up everything very well, the patch looks very good. I was very pleased. I had called 3 other roofers that didn't want to come out to even look for a month or more. Since then I also had a home inspection and the inspector said whoever did the patch did a very good job. Since I know very little about roofing I was very pleased to hear that. I would definitely use B. Griffith again, and would recommend him to anyone.
This company was very efficient and professional in every way. Started when scheduled, finished ahead of schedule and very neat. After they completed the job, my neighbors  were all amazed. My house was the showcase house of the neighborhood. Sorry it took so long to write this review, however, Brett, the owner was a pleasure to work with. Only problem is I moved 4 months after they completed work. Unfortunately my new house will probably need a new roof within a few years. Good thing I know who to call. Thanks Brett.

Dear Member: Sometimes it takes numerous attempts to detect a roof leak as they can trace down from a number of areas, This is why very few companies do or are willing to do service work/leaks. As far as your bill - you were told it would be $350 and if you were an Angie's list member it would be $325. Customers are required to mail in their $25 off coupon with there invoice to get the discount as this proves they are an Angie's list member. Anyone can say they are a member and yet not truly be one. You took off and were given the $25 discount even though you didn't send in the coupon, with your invoice. From the time the roofing team arrived about 8 am, on Friday morning, until they left at 8 pm, at night, they worked constantly with very few breaks. It was so hot and we felt so bad for them but they knew what they were doing and the heat did not seem to bother them too much. They were more than happy to stop and answer any questions I might have concerning what they were doing. Then they came back on Saturday morning and finished up where they left off. I was especially impressed with their clean-up to make sure that all nails were picked up with their strong magnets. Also, they must have made 4 trips around our home making sure every scrap of paper and every bit of old single was picked up...Everything they worked on turned out just great and we would recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof or just repairs. The owner, Brent, always made sure we were happy with the results....and we are....There are so many companies out there that are in business to just take your money....Not Griffith Roofing....you can trust them and in the end have a nice toasty feeling with their work

Using Angie's list we picked roofers in our area with good ratings to interview.  After speaking to 4 companies we chose B. Griffith Roofing.  They gave us dates to possibly start the job in September and I requested a later date since I would be up in Virginia visiting my father at that time.  I was told that it would be either Tuesday September 22nd or 29th.  I made sure my work calendar was open ahead of time on both of those dates  since I felt I should be around when they started the job.  I left for Virginia on the morning of Wednesday September 16th and before I got off the plane there was a message on my phone that the roofers were at the house!!  No one had called a couple days before the job, as promised, and it was totally not one of the dates we had set up.  My  husband was in town so  we decided not to pull the men off the roof since they had already started the job.  By the time I got home Friday the 18th the roof was finished.  We have cathedral ceilings in our dining/living room areas with big windows and sliding doors going out to the deck  Our cedar plank ceiling is just below the roof (we can hear the rain falling). As I was cleaning up all the dirt that had fallen from the pounding on the roof I looked up and noticed there were six planks of our ceiling that had rows of nails sticking through!  Of course I immediately called the owner of the company and he insinuated that  I had not let him know that we had that kind of ceiling!  I know the workers were on our deck and could clearly see inside plus isn't that his job as the roofer to check these things out?  My husband then spoke to him and they agreed to meet at the house Monday morning (9/21) to see what could be done to fix it.  On Monday my husband left his office to come home to meet Mr. Griffith and was quite upset that it got to be 9:30 by the time he showed up.  He was very apologetic and we decided the best solution was to snip off the end of the nails and seal the wood.  We set up an appointment for Thursday (9/24) for his worker to come out and do the work.  I made arrangements, again, in my work schedule so I could be here that day.  The worker showed up right on time but it took about 6 hours to get the job finished.
Dear Member: We apologize for you having open ceilings and that we weren't informed ahead of time of this matter. Unless we are told about an open ceiling area, whether it be in the house or garage, we don't know until we start tearing off the roof. And yes, Brent was 1/2 hour late meeting your husband but lucky for you if you all can always be on time! Sometimes it is extremely busy for Brent having to get 4 different crews out of the shop in the morning and unfortunately that one was morning that he was running a little behind time. And yes, he was supposed to be there at 9:00 and when your husband called at 9:03 wanting to know where he was, he was told he would be approx. 30 minutes late arriving. And in order for your job to be done correctly, our guy was told to take however long it took to do the best quality job for you that was possible!
