Write a ReviewMr.Griffith promptly got back with me regarding an estimate for the job. He came to the house a few days later and provided me with a well written estimate plus shingle samples. (He was one of three top "Angie's List " roofing companies I got estimates from). I chose him as having the lowest best bid and I was not disappointed. Within a few days of contacting him with my decision to choose his company for my roof job the project began. His crews were professional and very hardworking. They did an excellent job in cleaning up after the job was complete. I received my roof guarantee paperwork and invoice within a week after the roof was completed. I would highly recommend him for any roofing needs one might have.
Bret came out to give us an estimate which was very competitive, brought brochures for us to choose the tile, measured  and left us with an estimate .We decided that day to use them .in a few days they sent samples of the shingle and started work within a week and a half .Day one the shingles taken off any wood replaced,Day two shingles delivered and fascia put on ,roof Tiled and completed that day.The roof looks great and a good warranty ,Good workmanship professional service .would recommend highly.
Owner gave quote and worked with me some on the total. Not the lowest bid but he had what I thought was the best solution for our three flat roofs, two of which are steel and had leaks. Complete new roof was installed to include ridge venting, lifetime shingles, flashing and renailing decking. Initial start was delayed because of weather but once started, it went fast. Workmen were polite, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. Overall, we are happy with the new roof. Several things did not go perfect. We received the bill but the roof did not have final inspection from the city on the posted permit. Additionally, some minor trimming had not been completed and one gutter had not been properly attached. Once I notified the roofer (by leaving a voice mail) someone was sent the next day to fix and the final was scheduled. The bill was not correct per the contract. Numbers quoted for wood replacement were not used on the bill. I pointed this out and new, correct bill, was sent. I had intended to pay with a credit card but was told additional 2% fee would apply. This was not told to me upfront when I asked about using a credit card and may have influenced my initial decision to use this specific roofer. I gave them a B for responsiveness because no one ever answers the office phone (they will call you back if you leave a message) or cell numbers. I was told that I would be notified of any wood needing replacement when discovered and either be shown the bad wood or would be provided pictures. Neither happened even though I was home the entire time the workmen were present. Wood needing replacement was minor and the city building inspector mentioned to me there was some minor wood issues, so I was not concerned but surprised I did not get the opportunity to view the damage. Hi Member! I feel an overall grade of B is not justified in this situation due to our daughter is generally the only one in the office and with 1 phone line and with the past rains we have had she has received an unusually high volume of calls in the last month or so and is doing the best she can. If she happens to be on the phone, it will automatically move over to the recorded line. And she returns all of her phone messages before the end of that business day. And as far as your invoice being incorrect, no one is infallible. And yes, I did call you back and apologize because I billed you as I do from memory for all customers and explained to you that I did not realize that Brent gave you a little break on your decking price. Also as far as the credit card fee, I explained to you that we only accept c.c. as a courtesy to our customers and that we are charged a higher fee than 2% but that we do charge out customers only 2% because of it being done as a courtesy and that it wouldn't be fair for us to take off an additional 2% from our total invoice when most people only want to use a credit card to get air miles, points, etc. You stated you asked Brent, the Contractor and Owner, if c.c. were accepted and he told you yes. But he does not get into the billing, invoicing, financing end of the projects and so as busy as he is out in the field,, estimating, meeting with customers, being on the job, etc. it doesn't even dawn on him to have to go into every little detail regarding the payment of invoices. Most people would direct these questions to the accounts receivable/office staff anyways. As far as pictures go, yes, we do take and did take pictures of your roof as we do every customer's roof and we supply our customer's with a CD of pictures. But considering all the pictures have to come off of all the crew's cameras out in the field, the memory cards get downloaded 1x a week, at the end of the week, and then is transferred to a CD and then mailed out to our customers. So with having 15+ ongoing jobs or more per week, it is a timely process which takes generally 1-2 weeks, sometimes a little longer, after a roof is completed for everyone's CD's to get processed. Patience is a virtue and with as hot as it is and the long, hard days everyone in the roofing industry puts in, we still amaze ourselves with the quantity and quality of work that we are still able to deliver to and help accommodate to all of our customers! You will be receiving your CD of pictures shortly member! Thank you and have a wonderful afternoon!
All work was done in one day. Â Crew arrived at 7:30 am and finished at 7 pm. Â Crew worked non stop and the owner came by in the afternoon to check progress. Â Owner also stopped by to inspect the finished roof a couple days later.
Tear-off crew came a day early to try to beat forecasted rain storms. They finished up the next day, did a great job, and cleaned up really well. I fully expected to find a couple handfuls of old nails around the yard, but have yet to find a single one. Fantastic! Crew was friendly and professional. The install crew came the next day and started the new shingles. They worked all day on the roof, then finished up by noon the following day. These guys were also friendly and professional, and did a great job! Overall, B. Griffith Roofing did a great job. No complaints at all.
B. Griffith responded quickly for my request for an estimate and the estimate was the best of six that I recieved. The crews showed up on time, worked hard while they were there, were neat and cleaned up well at the end of the day. In short they were very proffesional. I got a great new roof at a good price with no headaches on my side, you can't ask fo much more. I use them again and would happlily recommend them to anyone needed roof work done.
It turned out excellent. What made me decide to go with them are their reviews on Angie’s List. They were very good. They didn’t goof around and worked the whole time. They were just really nice.
He did a wonderful job. He did work for both houses that I own. He put several things on the other roof and worked on the roof here. It was a good price and it was reasonable. They were very prompt.
now I know free estimates should not cost anything
Yes, out estimates are always free. Member verbally gave Brent the authorization to fix leak repair due to the rainy weather and then we sent him the bill for the amount that him & Brent agreed upon and that was documented on Brent's estimate sheet. The office girl tried contacting this customer 8 X's since we first did the leak repair back in Nov. 2013 (she documents date and time she calls customers) only to be ignored by him and his wife (it was his wife's number on file). Only when we sent a Notice to Owner with intent to lien his property in March of this year (2014) - 4 months after doing repair - did we finally get a response from him. He stated he didn't tell us to go ahead and fix the leak (which Brent would never just send a crew out to fix someone's leak without them authorizing it so we could get paid!). A verbal contract is as legally binding as a written one. I thought him and I worked this situation out but because this gentleman, again, didn't uphold his word to me and his part of the bargain, as much as I hate to have to, I plan on proceeding with the NTO and filing against his home. Being dishonest and misled was wrong considering we upheld our part of the bargain and took care of this man's leaky roof.
Great group of people! Very attentive. I highly recommend.
