We had the CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo wall insulation installed in our crawlspace (700 square feet). The joints around all of the insulation on the walls and rim joists were filled in with a foam product, which surprisingly had not been advertised. Both items are superior quality, with the 20 mil thickness CleanSpace being much stronger and heavier than competitor vapor barriers. The installation was done very professionally, with a plastic curtain erected between the crawlspace and the rest of the unfinished basement to minimize dust infiltration. While Rod Martin's encapsulation is more expensive than most other companies, since I will be using the crawlspace frequently for storage it was worth the additional expense to have the more durable materials installed.

I had them repair a floating floor that had been sinking for about 10 years. They did an excellent job and I am very happy with the results. Upon searching for another repair which is in a different category, I spoke with their staff and was given courteous and helpful information even though they would not be the type of company for the repair I need.

They were Fantastic from the first phone call. Exceptional receptionist- Salesman- Crew that performed the job- All the above were VERY KNOWABLE. They were on time and were very polite. Robert Gold analyzed and estimated the work needed to restore our floor, and eliminate the moisture problem. He took concern of our problem, and gave us a timely and fair estimate. Work performed was professional, taking care to tarp off the work area before starting, and thoroughly cleaning upon completion. Quality material was used, and the affected area was built actually better than the original build. I was very impressed from start to finish, and recommend using this company.

I was blindsided by the extensive repairs proposed to stabilize my foundation and when offered a 10% discount for signing up immediately, my Scotch plaid bloodlines kicked in. I knew I shouldn't have contracted under those circumstances. After recovering from my initial shock and contacting two other foundation repair companies, I hired an independent structural engineer who assured me that there were less expensive ways to attack the problem. I called CBS and cancelled the job, fully aware that they had no obligation to return any of my deposit. To their credit, they did return a portion of my deposit, but withheld an exact amount (down to $xxxx.46). I called to get an explanation of how they figured this amount since nothing had been done other than the original call. I was told they would get back to me with an explanation. Receiving none after some time, I wrote a letter to their sales manager asking again for an explanation and received no answer. Even disputing the credit card charge for the deposit did not produce an explanation. I went to file a complaint with BBB and there was a note from the company to contact their quality assurance director before filing a complaint. I did so and heard nothing. Finally about four months after contacting the sales manager, I received an email from him. He gave some generalities of costs that could be included in "administrative costs" . If I were willing to sign a non-disparagement agreement, I would receive more of my deposit back. Never was there an explanation of how CBS arrived at such an exact figure to deduct from my deposit refund--just a general explanation of paperwork, etc. Coincidentally, the quality assurance director they wanted me to contact no longer worked for the company. Does this sound like a company that you want to do business with when repeated attempts to obtain an explanation of their charges resulted in silence? When they finally did contact me it was to offer what I considered "hush money". I reiterate: they had every right to keep all of my deposit and they did return some of it, but I never received an explanation of how they arrived at such an exact figure of my deposit to retain.

This company was great! Very friendly and professional and remained in constant communication of their expected arrival. Cost was perfect for any budget.
