Overall it was slow and frustrating and the cost was unacceptable. The original problem was Nest Error code 183 said it was a loose wire. AC unit would shut off. One hour Tech worked on the problem on 8/14/2024 for 3 + hours attempting to resolve it, Tech advised that the wire from the AC unit to the blower had to be replaced. 8/15/2024 - 2 techs arrived to replace that wire. Worked on the problem for 6 hours. In the end, they advised that the Nest Thermostat required replacement. I could go on in more detail but to close this- The error said thermostat and when they finally installed the new thermostat, the problem was fixed. It just took 10 hours and $1347 -This should have cost less than $350.

The sevice tech was Winston, he was very professional in the way he acted. After he changed the capacitor, the compressor was not kicking on. After about an hour of work he still could not get it going. The initial prognosis was the compressor needed to be changed. I was freaking out because the labor was going to be more than I could afford. I came I to the house for a moment to decide the payment method. When I went back out to discuss the path forward, Winston had gone back over everything and found a loose wire. Once he tightened it the compressor started working again. He could have just left it alone and recommended the repair like most would but he didn't. He has to be one of the most honest and trust worthy techs I have dealt with. I will be requesting him in the future if I run into problems again. He is an asset to One Hour Air
