JES Foundation Repair

Would NOT recommend any work from the Manassas Office. This JES office has poor customer service and communication. I have sent emails and requested phone calls, of which they do not return calls, and when they do send emails, it curt and does not answer the situation. The job was to dig around the foundation to reseal the outside of the foundation/basement. JES informed me on the morning of the scheduled work that they needed to push back a day due to weather without checking the forecast for the location of the home which is located 40 from the JES office. When they did show up at the job site, they were not equipped with all the necessary tools. JES cut my waterline (private water utility) and continued to dig up pipe thus causing replacement of 12 feet of water line vice 2 feet of water line, this was a substantial difference in repair cost that I paid. JES originally tried to have me incur all costs but stated that I proved that I was only responsible for the first 2 feet of damaged pipe and the supervisor had the crew continued to dig/damage the rest of the pipe after it was located. The plumber of JES was unavailable, so I located a local plumber who did the repair, being out at my home until 10:00 pm that evening. I paid the emergency fees out of my pocket. JES then cut the water line AGAIN on the following day, even though the water line was visible, and the area should have been dug by hand and not with mechanized equipment. The foreman did not inform me of this damage, I only learned of the water being shut off when I tried to use my sink. JES could not locate a plumber to do the second repairs therefore I had to obtain my plumber, who was at the house until 11:00 pm fixing the problem. Again, I had to pay out of pocket. When addressing this to JES, they did remove the fee for both days (minus the $250) but stated *This was a courtesy from us to you.* Even though the fault was JES and not mine once the pipe was visibly located. Once the job was finished, within a week the sealant on the foundation began to peal and JES had to return to *repair* and reseal at ground level. The work was shoddy, JES left the job site looking like a new construction site, as the finished work was minimal with seed and straw but no grading, therefore my yard was a muddy mess.

All went well. Some issues with the foundation were worse than thought so the work took a little longer but it was definitely needed. Part of an addition had been built without proper foundation as in none. It was hanging in air. They made an extra trip to replace and fix drains that had to be removed. Took extra care to make sure as little damage to carpet as possible. Terrance Blackwell and crew came for the outside work. They were great. I really appreciated Terrance's extra trip to make sure the drains were fixed. Austin Wells and Peter Dang came for basement floor lift and level and I greatly appreciated their extra effort to take care of the carpets even though they had to drill through the floor. The little extras made a big difference. Good people, good work.

The work was done in a professional manner. They were friendly and willing to answer questions about the work. The company handled all permits and scheduling the county inspector to come and clear the job. It completely cleared up the leaking problem in the basement, and the foundation is good for the rest of the house's live. They cleaned up really well, there was no dust problem, and in the area they dug a trench, they even reseeded the lawn with grass seed. We were very happy with the work and feel like we are safe from any more foundation problems.

most inexperienced crew ever. they busted up my blocks and foundation, never had permit county made them get engineer to look at foundation he said that it was improper to nail anything to blocks and jes would have to fix all cracks and broken blocks. keep in mind house 1 year old at this point. they attempted to have their mason repair it but he was clearly high on pot. major ordor smelt all in my home while they were there. he drilled hole and pumped liquid nail in wall and said it should be good. brad the man in charge said fill with modur. however they hired private mason but only paid him to fix some of the damage. engineer was ordered by county to return to inspect property and jes came and took pictures of repaired places only and engineer sign off saying"upon his return" he never came back so job is still incomplete blocks still damaged and there supplies everywhere and debri an modur and broken block material everywhere.now they want to sue me because i only paid them deposit of 1500 never finished paying the remaining 6000 because they never finshed and tore my home up. now they are sueing me for close to 10000 for their bad work

JES employees were on time and professional in their work. We are very happy with the waterproofing done in our basement. Our basement is dry!
