JES Foundation Repair

We have a 100-year-old house that has a problem where a foundation wall was removed and posts were installed to support the house when the cellar was drugged out. They have replaced two posts and have completed an initial lift. They are returning in July to perform another lift. I was very satisfied with how they are handling my concerns with raising the house back up too quickly.

JES submitted a creative and affordable solution, but the JES engineer assigned to the job left the company before the job was finished. Though the job turned out well, and we were very satisfied, we had to do much of the overseeing and work checking ourselves. The work site was not neatly maintained (e.g., tools all over the place). The completion of the job was not done in a timely manner, but that was somewhat understandable given the personnel turnover. Given the high quality of the work, I was tempted to give a grade of A, but I just couldn't because of the reasons just mentioned.

The cure for crawlspace drama! We recently had JES encapsulate our crawlspace and install a dehumidifier and could not be happier with the service/workmanship, value and finished product. Had some mold, insulation and humidity issues and decided it was time to end the drama once and for all. Work started within a week of signing the contract and was completed in three days (3,000+ square foot crawlspace). Tiger and his crew treated our home as if it were their own. Respect, professionalism and proactive communication were the hallmark throughout the process. Only regret, wished we had made this investment five years ago when we bought our home! Professional Inspector (Chris Yi) did a great job pointing out all the problems, had a professional presentation/solution. Team that did installation/encapsulation of my crawlspace did a great job, courteous, quick cleanup, wasted no time. The solution fixed the dampness problem. I am sure you can pay less but you get less. This was first class work, fixed my problem, and the crawl space looks great now. Moisture percent went from 88% to now an average of 47%. NO MOLD!!!!
