I did a troubleshoot session were they fixed some minor wiring issues and connected grounds that were not previously connected. Also did a more significant job of placing wiring in conduit and behind walls to clean up messy and unsafe wiring. All-in-all they did a great job and worked efficiently. They went through all the troubleshooting items I had on my list, although some they could not fix. I'd hire them again.

I called 5 different electricians and asked them for estimates on my laundry list of electrical fix-its. - 1 never responded. - 1 said they were fully booked for 2 months. - 2 gave hourly rates but wouldn't visit the house to create a bid. In-House Electric not only came to my house and provided a very reasonable bid, they itemized the bid and were very up-front with me about which work items were simple & certain vs complex & might prove bigger or smaller depending on what they found upon closer inspection. The day we were scheduled to start work, their van was snowed in and we had to reschedule. But they sent out 2 electricians and got right to work the next day. All but one of the simple-n-certain tasks were indeed quick and easy. For the one that had a surprise complication (unexpectedly inaccessible wires), the technician provided me with several options along with their pros and cons. Very professional. In a couple instances they had brought the wrong-sized part and had to push portions of the project to the following day, but the project was large enough that I had expected it to take 2 days anyway. In-House Electric really shined when it came to the more-complex portions of the project. They managed to find a way to string a new ethernet cable some 50 feet across the house and up one story without puncturing an external wall and with only one mid-way drywall patch -- and that patch was small enough to cover with a relatively inconspicuous blank plate. What could have become the most complex portion of the project turned out to have a surprisingly simple and low-cost solution. I had two mysteriously non-functional top-floor electrical outlets, which had their own dedicated circuits and was used for in-window summer air conditioners. After a bit of investigation, we discovered that these outlets were each controlled by a wall-mounted thermostat. Once we found that connection and turned the thermostats down low enough, the plugs for the AC units came back on, as they were designed to. So we managed to solve the problem without opening up any walls or doing any re-wiring. Overall, I'd definitely recommend In-House Electric. Their level of customer service and professionalism is a step above the other electricians with whom I've worked over the years.
