The tech called to let us know his time frame for arrival (2 hours) to install a new garage door opener. He was early and worked efficiently, getting the opener installed along with a new outdoor keypad and a new indoor switch. When done he cleaned up all the parts and pieces and hauled it all away together with the old opener. Boy, is the new opener quiet. Very satisfied.

My garage door was a mess; loose cable, could not manually open it, not flush to the floor when closed, and finally, the cable came off of one side. $50 for coming to the house to look at the door. The service person told me I should call the company that installed the springs 18 months ago, and maybe I could get the repair done on warranty. He basically told me that the door was old and heavy and the needed repairs by Precision would take several thousand dollars. More of a salesperson than a repair technician. Why would I call back the company that messed up in the first place? I called a totally different company, and their excellent tech came out, and: repaired the loose rail, rewound the springs, tightened all the bolts, replaced the cable, and reset the opener which was set too high, thus pulling the door too far. It works perfectly, I have a 4-month warranty on the repair, and it only cost me $125. I would not recommend Precision because I think they are more interested in selling than repairing.
