The cleaning went great. Â The guys were excellent!
It went very well; they replaced 4 faucets in the house, gave advice on kitchen work, and replaced a metallic plate on a ceiling nearly 10' high. They are very professional, full of energy, and I definitely got my money's worth for the amount of work they did. They work individually and are equally skilled, unlike some other providers who send out 2 guys and have one guy do the work while another just watches! Fortunately they know their stuff well and were able to tell me what extra materials I needed, so I had time to run out and buy them while they got started on the faucets, and when I got back, it was in time for them to finish. They did quote me for another project and I'm still mulling that over, due to my limited funds. I wish I could buy another Angie's List deal from them! Great job overall.
When I initially made the purchase for the service on the Angie's List web site, the site asked me for 3 good dates.  I did.  those dates came and went before I spoke to anyone at Home Services Professional.  Having received no calls from them, I called and made an appointment.  A week later they called me to make an appointment.  I told them I already had an appointment and they found it in their book. The appointment was for between 11:00 and 2:00.  They got here at 2:00 with no apology or explanation.  At this point they had never discussed the details of the job with me.  When I showed them the job, they determined that the ladder they brought was not tall enough so I borrowed one from a neighbor.  Fortunately, I had already purchased screens and screws to do the work.  I knew to do this because I had this same work done a few years ago and the other company explained that they do not have this type of supplies. This job is not particularly difficult.  The two workers who came out were somewhat challenged anyway.  I had contracted for 3 hours.  they did the two panels that I wanted done in that time (1.5 hours for two workers).  There was a third panel that I wanted them to do but they did not have the time or inclination to do the third panel.  Due to the position of the third panel, I'm afraid they didn't have the skills to do it either. The job is done.  Their are other screens that probably should be replaced due to squirrels claws as they climb.  I will find another Handyman to do the work next time.

The technicians were in out but there was no receipt or write-up of what they did and the results of their clean-up. I've gotten dryer vent cleaning in the past and it took approximately 2-3 hours and the technicians provided a result of the work conducted to include amount of debris collected and recommendation for next clean up.
The scheduling was fairly simple and customer representatives that answer their phone is very responsive - however see issue below. My hubby observed the cleaning and I spoke with the technicians while they were at the house.  Technicians cleaned the chimney from the inside and inform me that they would provide the write-up/receipt via email with what they did and their recommendations. I inquired as to how about checking the top of the chimney and the cap -- I was informed they will come another day to finish the inspection. I have called the company 3-4 times inquiring about when they would come back out to inspect the top of the chimney and the cap and to provide the receipt. Each time I was informed they would call me back with a schedule. As of date, I have yet to receive a call back and the inspection results.  I've gotten a chimney sweep and inspection in the past and the work was done at the same time and the results provided immediately after the inspection.
