Reliable Power Systems

Initially met with Mr. Robert Biscardi, owner of Reliable Power Systems, on January 12, 2015.  He spent over an hour with us outlining his plan for our property and giving us insight as to the type of man and business that he heads.  Very personable and well versed in his trade made our decision to trust our generator installation to his company.  We contracted with him that same day, with absolutely no pressure from him to do so. After a brief time spent in his truck, Robert returned with a printed proposal for the installation that listed all of the components for the job.  He assured us that, with his company, generator installation is a "complete turn key operation" and I can verify this to be true. Within two days, we received in the mail an informative packet containing general Generac generator information, liability and award information for Robert Biscardi, and most importantly the permit package with return envelope.  There was also a sheet entitled "The Next Steps and Important Information" which is a homeowners guideline as to the process, time frame, and payment schedule of generator installation.  Whoever developed this sheet should be commended.  It eliminates any question as to what is happening or when each step will occur.  I referred to it often and the information provided kept me very well informed, without the need to call Reliable - although I knew they were always available for any inquiry I may have had along the way.  The project manager informed us that our situation (being in a flood zone coupled with the house elevation) required the addition of a concrete pad which was not initially anticipated.  In addition to this verbal information, within two days time an additional work order arrived via mail stating this addition and it's cost, but no monies were requested at that time.  Everything progressed on schedule and on March 9, 2015 the actual installation commenced.  The initial crew created the form for the concrete pad and began the electrical wiring the first day.  Day two was the completion of the wiring, the pouring of the concrete, and the sinking of the 500 gallon propane tank.  The generator was placed on the pad the third day and the electrical wiring connection was complete. The installation which normally takes three days total, was delayed by external forces such as waiting for inspectors to arrive for approvals, for an outside company to burrow under our driveway to run lines, for the propane company to deliver the propane to fuel the generator, but none of these delays were caused by Reliable Power Systems.  We were very pleased with the smoothness of the entire project.  During the installation we met 6 crew members all of whom were friendly, funny, personable, and very deft at their craft.  We enjoyed having them here.  I even made a special request to have the initial electrician return today to do our "start up" procedure, as I was comfortable with his style of explanation regarding the workings of the new generator. All of my contacts with the office staff have been just as remarkable.  Robert Biscardi has done an admirable job of hiring the best people to represent his company.  Everyone I have spoken with has been friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, and engaging.  It has been a pleasure from start to finish dealing with Reliable Power Systems.  And Mr. Biscardi also runs an electrical company, Reliable Electrical Systems, which parallels his generator company.  Knowing how well the generator company has treated us, I can totally believe that we will receive the same superb service in the future for any future electrical needs.      I can not endorse Reliable Power Systems highly enough.  Look no further....their "turn key" installation can not be beat.

Sun Electric sent an email telling which electrician they would be sending - along with his picture ID.  He was right on time and professional.  Our "Big Deal" was for a service call, including one hour of labor, and a whole-house electrical inspection for $59.00 - a great deal.   While there he also installed a dimmer switch and a door chime.  The price was seemed excessive as our big deal included an hour of labor, but we went ahead with it.  We had a problem with the dimmer switch and had to call Sun Electric; they responded quickly and sent electrician back.  He said the dimmer was defective and replaced it.

I've used Reliable before at my other home to install a whole home generator, so I knew already what to expect.  Their work is neat, they are on time, they are very professional, and the office staff is always informative as well as friendly.  At the end of a work day, you will have never known they were there.  What I didn't know was what a great staff of electricians they had as well, since all of the generator work was done outside and I didn't have any one on one with the crew.  Donny is the best you could ask for!  So polite and knows everything there is about electric.  Donny, Frank, Andrew.....they are all great guys, and they know their business.  There is no short cuts with these guys, and they will make sure that you are happy with the outcome before the job is finished.  I am also having a gas tank and generator installed starting tomorrow.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a generator or any electric done in their home.  Their name says it all!!

This process is very detailed and frought with unexpected issues. Every install has different issues to wade through. Town regulations just to start.Acts of God ...yes we experienced that too....and I'll make this brief. Installing a system like this REQUIRES the homeowner to be careful whom they hire.Do your homework. I visited all prospective vendors....I went through their warehouses too...to check on how they treated their expensive inventory. 2 out of the 3 highest recommendations had filthy warehouses with water pooled on their floors....I didn't want a company whose back door operation indicated they treated their product like junk. Reliable is exactly what they are named. This is a top notch company who handles every detail, every problem from start to finish. if your going to do this .....hire Reliable....you will never be sorry.

Chris, our service tech, was professional, knowledgable , polite and extremely nice. He replaced our old circuit board with a new one that has worked perfectly. This visit he solved another problem we had , very methodically - didn,t rush to a quick solution. Explained everything. I just feel so secure with the work that he does.

The entire process was completely seamless.  From start to finish.  The owner of the company came out to meet my husband, and everything he had stated to him on that day, was just as he had said.  There are no hidden costs, you are mailed all documents you need, pricing is given to you upfront, you are emailed and called with updates, as far as the permitting process, and you are never left wondering at what stage something is in, because if they are still waiting for a permit from your county they will let you know. Every person in the company was a pleasure to communicate with.  If I called with any question, at any time, everyone was always very kind and I had an answer.  When they are complete, they meet you at your home, and give you a complete how to on your new generator, and you are left with just a very comfortable feeling and the knowledge that they will be there when you need them .

Everything went really very well.  Everyone that worked at the house was polite and concerned that I was pleased.  They kept me informed of what would be going on each day they worked.  I am very happy that I picked Reliable for the job and would recommend them very highly.

If you need a generator these guys know their stuff! I wouldn't say we are the easiest customers but these guys won us over on every level. From the prompt arrival on the first scheduled visit to the knowledge of our system, they really did a great job. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing service on their generator or a new generator. I am glad I finally have a great contractor here in South Florida.
