Reviews
Write a ReviewI thought the prize was excellent and response time was excellent too. They did a very good job.
I have an annual contract so they are prompt and they call and remind us when it's time for service and things of that nature. That's always convenient for us as a reminder. They are on time when they set up an appointment. They call us and tell us if they are going to be a little late so that we don't spend our whole day waiting for somebody to show up to do the service. I haven't compared their prices.
It was an excellent service. I tried to do my homework on the people I was going to us, got several stimates and chose Roth. They seemed the most professional, reasonable pricing, gave me a lot of good information. Happy with the service.
We've used Roth to maintain our furnace for about 4 years. The techs have always been very helpful, honest, and responsive. However, our furnace's air blower died and we called them out to see about a fix. We had an afternoon appointment scheduled but I got a call at 10:30 saying they were running way ahead of schedule and if I'd like to move up my appointment. I said sure and that I was 15-20 minutes from home so I'd leave immediately. The woman on the phone said that would work perfectly. However, the tech arrived 1.5 hours LATE. I took time off work for this so it cost me use of my vacation time. The tech said he got caught in traffic. I can understand that, but why no call until 15 minutes before he arrived? When he finally did arrive he gave us the typical very professional and honest opinion of our furnace. Yes, they could fix it but it would cost 500 with the parts and labor and it would have to be ordered from the east coast since no one in the metro area had it (he spent a good chunk of time calling around). He also said considering the age of the furnace and the cost of repair, i might want to consider replacing it. There was no pressure from him whatsoever. The techs there are great! The sales team.... another story. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. The salesman was 45 minutes late again. no call. My wife was home this time and talked to him. He looked around, checked out the old furnace but barely asked questions. he then went out to his truck to write up the estimate. I arrived home and went in to wait for him. He came in with a 'good, better, best' quote, didn't spend any time really explaining them, didn't discuss possible credits or anything. then he left. I didn't feel based on what i heard about the appointment before I arrived, and how they were once I arrived, that they really cared about us buying from them. The experience was very poor and unprofessional in my opinion. On top of that, their bid was MUCH more than the other four we got. They weren't even close to being competitive.
I'm always impressed by the technicians Roth sends. We never feel like we are being conned and they are always friendly, competent, and thorough. The price has never been greater than any other provider, but I feel that the service is superior.
They are really good. They are responsive.
Not very well. The estimate did not clearly state the final price. The ac/coil was first installed leaning. The outside door was left unlocked at the end of the job. Drywall dust was left on the floor after installing the new thermo. Installer threw more than furnace breaker turning off the freezer overnight. Supervisor was less than helpful when my wife to call to talk about the issues. Even after the followup service call I had to spend an hour taping up the air leaks in the ducting. Very unhappy with the level service. It's shame, we have used them in the past to replace the furnance at our old house, we'll not be using them again for the additionial work.
My old furnace began to make bad noises in late December and I finally decided it was time to part company in early April. Picked up the brochure at Costco one day and began researching vendor options. Decided to go with Roth via the Costco program. The entier process was very smooth and timely. The new furnace is much more energy efficient and quiet.
I liked them. When they did come out they saw the filters needed to be changed and he went ahead and just changed them out because he had some in the truck. I appreciated that. They have always been friendly.
Roth rescued us from another horrible service company and a heating and cooling system that never did perform well. They correctly found all the problems, gave us options and let us choose. We are older and opted for spending less on the new furnace and more on a 3 stage air filtration which we love! The new furnace is twice what the old one was, the control system is top notch, we hardly use any gas, and even the old AC unit works better because the blower and fans are better. We needed the AC to work because when turned on it blew out a transformer. Roth found the AC wiring chewed through under the house that the first company missed in 2 visits! They showed us the real problems with the old furnace and bid out a new one with an AC wiring repair. We now know how bad our old furnace was, prior service companies always told us we expected too much! I wish I could find that first repair company on here and write them up for cheating us out of $600 over 2 visits and never finding any real problems! We couldn't be happier with Roth, they even stubbed in new pipe under the floor for a future gas range and fireplace.
