Eliminate Toxic Materials or Mold

Dale the owner does not care about you or the work his people do. He sent people out to do the job, never came never heard from him again, even after one of his people installed my new dehumidifier and it leaked water all over my basement that had just been cleaned for mold, called him 5 times and he never responded. I finally called the guy that did the work and he came out and fixed it, but no word from Dale the owner, hey Dale how is that rating now? I would never recommend his company to anyone.

Sorry that you feel the way you do. As I have texted you the pictures of the injuries that occurred to me while I was unavailable for 5 days. I had broken toes, ribs, deep cuts on my hand and leg, and one giant contusion on my hip. My phone needed to be replaced and all apps reinstalled. I thought once you understood the severity of my situation and knew that my staff assisted you I would have softened your heart. Best wishes and sorry that I could not have assisted you personally.

Dale and Devonte did an excellent job. They tested for potential mold in my apartment and they explained in detailed the results from the mold and air quality test. Eliminate Toxic Materials or Mold

Contacted SBS after our HVAC tech noticed black areas on the outside of our attic ductwork. After calling them, SBS sent out 3 technicians to inspect our home. After inspecting all areas of our attic, the SBS team determined our home had no mold issues. All this work was done free of charge. I have given SBS 5 stars for their professionalism and honesty.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
