"I had some concerns about a house I was planning to buy that was built in 1965. I told Mr. Keys my concerns about lead and asbestos. He met me at that house. He reviewed the home professionally regarding asbestos and nothing stood out that made him want to take a sample to test. But we did find other things about the house that I never saw and was not included in the home inspections report. I plan to use him again."

Get Matched With ProsWe've all heard about the dangers of asbestos. It can be found in a variety of places including vinyl floor tiles, caulking, siding, plaster, fiber cement, roofing, some forms of linoleum, and duct insulation. Yet the material isn't easy to identify without testing. If you are considering making changes and your home was built prior to 1975, you should consider getting an inspection.
Professional asbestos testing companies near you can come in to your home and take samples to check for the presence of asbestos. You want to be sure to get the inspection before starting a project because fibers tend to be released during remodeling.
