We had just moved into our new house and I had never had a garage door before. The door made a hideous squealing noise when opening and closing but I thought that was just normal. Love angies list and joined when we moved and bought the new house. Have found almost all of my contractors on angies list! Anyway my garage door is nice and quiet now after precision door servicing. Came back from a bike ride and I suddenly heard a funny noise from the garage door and it wouldn't open!   I tried the "emergency" opening (pulling down the red cord) and it still wouldn't open! From previous experience (maintenance on my garage door), I called Precision Door Service.  From the time I called, I was extremely impressed and pleased with Precision Door Service-I'll never use another service if they are available! The person who answered the phone was very reassuring ("we can handle that" in response to my excited comments on what was wrong) and professional, got all the information etc.  When she heard I was locked in, she immediately scheduled an 8 a.m. appointment.  She was also very professional, got all the information and confirmed my appointment with an e-mail. The technician's picture, experience and even his interest in University of Memphis sports was noted on their web page, so I even knew what he looked like when he came to the door! He quickly diagnosed the problem, provided a detailed (and accurate) estimate and immediately started on the repair.   I cannot overemphasize how pleased I am with this company, and all of the personnel I have come in contact with.  I will sing their praises high and wide to anyone who needs assistance with their garage door!
