I recently contacted Heritage about a water pressure problem we've been having. The customer service representative over the phone informed me that the estimate would be free of charge. 2 days prior to our scheduled appointment, I called back to confirm that the estimate is free and was told it would be. On the day the technician came to our house, we were told that the estimate would not be free, instead we would be charged $175 diagnostic fee! Furthermore, the quality and service provided by each Heritage technician varies greatly. There's no way of knowing what kind of service you will receive.

Emergency on a weekend. I called Heritage and someone was here an hour later. He took 30 minutes to fix the problem and it was done clean, and well. The plumber took great care to cover his work boots and respected my home as if it were his own. Highly recommend.

I had a leaking faucet and needed help with the repair. Knowing the problem, I purchased a new faucet and had it ready at the house. The repairman was there for under a half an hour and charged me over $400. The told me up front that they would charge me $75 to diagnose the problem which would be waived if I agreed to the work. I was shocked at the price but felt trapped. My choices were to take a day off of work, lose $75 and wait another few days to get a different plumber in or just suck it up. Also, my appointment was scheduled for 8-10 am, and I had my mother in law come over as a favor for me and somehow my appt got changed in the system to 10-1. That is not cool when I have someone already doing me a favor. Overall I was completely annoyed with Heritage.

    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
