Great experience

I cannot recommend this company. They were dishonest with me and lied to me about getting a permit for the job I hired them to do. I hired them to change out and upgrade an electrical panel at a rental property I own, a job that requires a permit, per my city. I requested the permit. They agreed to apply for a permit and charged me for a permit. They even line-itemed the permit fee on the proposal…$350.00. But, as I learned after the work was completed, they never applied for the permit. They were dishonest twice. First, they rescheduled the start date of the job because "the permit wasn't ready", when, in fact, they hadn't even applied for the permit. Then on the day they performed the work, I asked Fabian if he had the permit. He assured me that he had the permit. It wasn't until I told them that I would make payment when the city signed off on the job that they went to the city and applied for the permit. I verified the application and issuance date of the permit with the city. Both were initiated after the work was completed. If you are looking for honesty and integrity, this is not the company to hire. As I don't have the option to leave the star ratings (see above) blank, I chose the lowest ranking. I cannot speak on the quality of the work .

Found and repaired the electrical issues quick

The gentlemen that came out to give me an estimate were very thorough and made sure they understood what I was needing done. Before they came back to do the work, I had added to inside light fixtures that I wanted replaced and they did it with little extra cost to me. I would definitely recommend A-1 Plus Electrical to whoever asks.

Really excellent experience with this company. David (the tech) quickly diagnosed the problem and had a solution for the repair that was timely and cost-effective. I'm using them for another, bigger project.

It wasn't clear on the home advisor site that the appointment is for a two hour window and not for the exact time you select.

David was supposed to show up around 9am. He didn't show up until 1130am! Had to call him several times asking where he was. Waited at house for hours for him to show up. Very disappointed.

At first I was skeptical, but after the supervisor showed up, we had a good discussion and agreed on a game plan and prices. The person who actually did the work was competent and constantly kept me informed of his progress and the challenges he was facing. I was pleased that he stuck with the job to the end, and I was also pleased with the final price. I intend to hire them again to continue with more work. I recommend them, based strictly on my experience thus far.
