The people they sent to do the work were great. The price was reasonable. Everyone I dealt with was polite. The customer service rating above is due to scheduling problems only. The first job I had a 9am appointment and they called at 7:30am to say they were on the way. Then they wanted to just give me a bid an not do the work that day, even though I had said (twice) I was ready for the work to be done. So the guy went to get materials and lunch at 9am and came back at 1pm to do the work. The office did call me at about 11:30 to say they would be back around one. I told them I had to leave at 3pm for an appointment and they said no problem, but they weren't' done by 3 so they said they would leave all the stuff where it was and come back tomorrow. Since I already had been waiting on them for 8 hours that day I asked them to just finish. They finished at 4:30pm and I had to reschedule my appointment. There was a problem with a part on that job-which was my fault. So I had them back to finish the job and do a couple more things. I was getting ready for company and wanted to get this stuff done before they arrived. I called on a Wednesday and made an appointment for Friday. After waiting through the two hour window on Friday, I called them and was told they had scheduled the job for Saturday between 10 and 12. On Saturday, they again called at 7:30am but I was asleep. I called them later and they said they thought they would be there around noon. I told them that was good, but later than that I would have to reschedule. They called again around 11:30 and said they would arrive in 30 minutes. They arrived about 12:20pm and did the work and even called in another guy to help get it done quicker. Each time I had to tell the office what I wanted done at least twice and the workers once and I had to be available for their calls hours before my scheduled appointment to be sure they would show up. If they could get organized and not waste hours of their customers time, this would be a good company to use. As it is, if you have nowhere else to be for a couple of days, they do a good job.

We hired A1 Plus after receiving several bids of non-HomeAdvisor electricians to replace several recessed ceiling lights in our master bathroom area. The bid was excellent and the explanation of what our options were and how the work would be conducted was detailed and thorough. They were able to do the work in a reasonable time frame and met all of our expectations. The workmen did the work and then cleaned up. I will look to A1 Plus Electrical for future electrical projects and HomeAdvisor for providing guidance on qualified professionals.

$202 to replace switch in box for 10 minutes of work. Quoted $99 minimum initially ( no trip charge ) but later said that's only for simple work like changing a bulb. I should have gotten other bids. Overall, got the job done and explained what he did.

  6. Bankruptcy Search
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them.
  7. Legal Search for Civil Judgments
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them.
  8. Liens Search
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.
  9. Identity Verification (SSN)
    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
