Reviews
Write a ReviewBeware of REVIVE REMODELING, the business of Contractor Mike Pirwitz. We vigorously warn that REVIVE REMODELING is NOT RECOMMENDED for home improvement projects. We hired Mike Pirwitz in August to build a sunroom on the back of our house. The sunroom is still not finished after work began in September. Mike Pirwitz has used at least 4 sets of subcontractors to work on the sunroom over the past 6 months. We paid about $25,000 to date and have had multiple construction issues including continual severe leaking for six months on all 3 of the walls that were built, out of square corners, out of square pilings, out of square door & frame, dangerous structure integrity, etc. We requested our own city inspection which resulted in 7 code issues being identified. Mike Pirwitz’s subcontractors frequently failed to show for work and when they showed up it would be for only a couple hours. One crew used our patio table as a saw horse and made several cuts in it with a circular saw on three sides. They ripped our brand new OSU grill cover as well. We still need restitution on both items. Two new houses on lots behind our house were completely built during the time Mike Pirwitz initially started construction on our sunroom, that was to be completed in 4 weeks, but still is not finished. Mike Pirwitz sent me a text saying that yet another subcontractor was going to meet with Mike Pirwitz and me at our house on Monday, 3/28, to review the work that needs to be completed and that the subcontractor was going to begin today, Tuesday, 3/29. Not only did Mike Pirwitz and the subcontractor fail to show at our house on Monday, Mike Pirwitz did not have the courtesy to call or text me to let us know they would not be there or to reschedule. The subcontractor also failed to show at our house today to begin work. In our experience we found Mike Pirwitz to be irresponsive, undependable, unreliable, and not to be trusted to follow through on his word to for meet multiple deadlines we agreed upon during the past six months, including not even responding to a legal demand letter sent to him identifying a reasonable date certain for an expected completion of the project. We are extremely disappointed in the way we have been treated by Mike Pirwitz and will never use his company again for any project, no matter how small.
this is an impossible customer to deal with , we have spent 4 months trying to satisfy this customer with prevail. He keeps asking to change, we would have over 43 change order from this customer, impossible!
They have no respect for your home. They tracked in mud and left cigarette buds in my house. They are rude and completely unprofessional. They do not listen to what you want. They just want to bring in cheap materials and expect you to accept it. The project manager hung up on me when I was trying to tell him about his crew. The project is taking way too long to be completed. They gave me the best price but buyer beware..you get what you pay for Do not use this contractor
We total respect fr their home, we can only get it the home when there home which is week nights and weekends plus they took a 2 week vacation right i the middle of construction. Hard to finish a job with very limited access. We didnt hang up , project manager was in Orient on a job site and had poor reception. we called back when he was in better range.
Good overall work quality.
They did a good job with building the fence itself, but the gates I had them install was poor craftsmanship. My concrete driveway where they put the post in was cut out badly and was not straight they definitely cannot do concrete work. Overall I was not very satisfied with this job
the concrete driveway was 10 inches deep and difficult to cut a 4"x4" hole with out any damage to concrete. Gates work great , they open in the opposite direction they wanted but the post and hinge can open in , can not open out. We adjusted the gates several times but driveway is very uneven and sloped.
The overall process was quick and easy.
Dan and Terry did a great job when it came to finishing my basement. Took about a week longer than expected but Dan was out unexpectedly but brought outside help to get part of the job done. I would hire again if needed. Mike was great also in replying back to my questions
Did a good job but needed better communication management
Overall, great job. Good customer service. Did not clean up the job site very well at all.

I had a very good experience with this company. Mike explained everything to me. He took care of all the permits and everything needed to be done for the deck. Tom the contractor finished the deck in no time. I would recommend this company to anybody looking to build a deck. Thank you Mike and Tom.
