12/4/2021 I paid in full for the installation of LVP and carpet. The install was scheduled for 12/6/21. The installers showed up and said I had to pay another $816. I told them that I paid in full already and that there should not be a balance due. They called Empire and confirmed that I did not have to pay. Install was not finished that day due to not having enough carpet and the wrong colored quarter round. They installed a white quarter round in the kitchen. The quarter round was supposed to match the LVP. I called on 12/7/21 to find out when the installation would be finished. I was told someone would call me back. I called 12/8, 12/10, and 12/20. Each time I spoke to a rep and they said my case would be escalated and someone would call me back. On 12/24/2021 I decided to send an email since I was unsuccessful in getting anyone by phone. I received a response saying my message would be forwarded to the appropriate department and someone would get back to me. I called again on 1/4/2022 and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was transferred to Joanna who is the floor supervisor in the TX office. She said she would forward my concerns to the Atlanta office and someone would get back to me. On 1/5/22 I was told that the install was scheduled for 1/11/22. I dont understand how that was even possible since no one had reached out to me to schedule for that date. I told them that the date did not work for me and that I was available on 1/13/22. I received a phone call on 1/12/2022 stating that the contractor was on the way to my house to finish the install!! I had to tell them to cancel because the date we rescheduled for 1/13/2022. When I spoke to a rep named Jessica on 1/12 I asked to speak to a manager. She informed me that I would have to wait 24 hours to get a callback and that at the latest someone would call me back by Monday. How do 24 hours end up being 5 days?? I have asked to speak to a manager multiple times to try and rectify this. I have yet to hear from anyone. It should not have taken 5 weeks to complete this installation. I had to go through the holidays without having my flooring done. Do NOT use Empire. I wish I would have done more research before spending any money.

Empire did a great job and recommended a quality carpet for what we needed. Didn’t try to upsell, communicated well and installed on time. Would def use them again in the future.
